I usually just accept whatever the renewal rate is because I'm kind of dumb like that but with four radios now I called and ended up over $50 ahead across the four... and they all are at 12 months out now and basically aligned on their renewals. 10 minutes and 23 seconds to save literally hundreds of dollars talking with a US-based rep (*) was worth it.

You're not alone. A lot of people I know don't bother to try to get a better deal because they don't think it's worth the effort. But SXM has made it so easy to get the promo deals, that there's really not all the much effort required. The regular price for All Access is $21.99/mo, so getting it for $4.99/mo saves almost $200/yr per radio. That's enough for a new fob every year!

For what its worth, I'm a bit of a SiriusXM Snob. And yes, the $5/month is a great deal however you can get that anyday of the week if you wanted to. Yes, most people don't even want to put the efforts in.

However - There are better deals to look out for, ones that include Free Amazon Hubs or Chromecast Hubs (more rare) or free selections in general. They come out just about every 60-90 days or so if you are subscribed to email.

Also, another thing that I highly encourage everyone to do. Always CANCEL your subscription online through their interactive agent portal. Cancel it after you have paid, about 1-2 days later so that they must give you a refund. Here is why.

Agent will ask you the same question, several ways on why did you want to cancel. And then begin to offer you cheaper and cheaper deals. In the end, always state you want to cancel due to streaming availability through your phone with other services free. NEVER MENTION STERN!!! Don't even bring up Stern.

At this time, the agent will undoubtedly always offer you 3-6 months additional at NO CHARGE without credit card information. They will always do this and will hope that you will renew at a later time. The only negative is they will begin calling you very often at the three month mark to renew. Don't give up, continue to decline (stay polite) rinse and repeat.

I personally haven't paid for Sirius in about two years now, and I've always had it. It does take some effort, but whatever. I've got time to chat with agents online to waste. Hell, i had time to check palsapp everyday for nothing lol.

The problem is most of their free deals to get you to stay are the Select package, not All Access. If the reason you're getting it is for Stern, that would be a problem.

I know a lot of people don't understand why anyone would pay for SiriusXM, but I'm a long time listener of Howard Stern, so it's worth it to me. But I've never paid full price because you can always call SXM to get a better promo price at renewal time.

The current promo is $4.99/mo for the full All Access plan for a year, which is as cheap as I've ever seen it. The MME comes with a 3 month trial, so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to sign up for the promo pricing without affecting that. There's a good chance the promo will be back in 3 months, but they're currently saying that it will end 3/31, so who knows. I'm happy to report that you can absolutely sign up for the promo while under the 3 month trial, and it just adds the 12 month promo to the end of the trial period. I did it all online without having to talk to anyone. It will charge me for my first month in June ($6.48 after tax a music royalty fee) and continue monthly for a year.

Just go to siriusxm.com, click on this promo at the top, and enter your MME's radio ID or VIN to sign up. Super simple.

Sadly the current promo at the top of the page lists a useless Amazon thing instead of the upgrade to the unlimited channels, but I used the online chat on the website and they had no problems honoring the original offer ? they also told me that there would be no problem moving it from my Escape to the end of the trial period of my Mustang Mach E when I get that.

Yeah, looks like they already flipped the promos at the top of the page, which is a little premature since the previous promos run until the end of today. But they should still honor it, as they did for you.

Up until about an hour ago, you could just click on the promo at the top of the page and do it all online. But now that they've flipped that promo, you'll likely have to call. Just tell them you want the $5/mo All Access promo that expires today.

If for some reason you don't lock in on the promo. Use their online chat feature and let them know you'd like the All-Access for that price. This company is bleeding for customers that are leaving for alternative options. They are very flexible in pricing these days. Way more than they have ever been.
