I know a lot of people don't understand why anyone would pay for SiriusXM, but I'm a long time listener of Howard Stern, so it's worth it to me. But I've never paid full price because you can always call SXM to get a better promo price at renewal time.

The current promo is $4.99/mo for the full All Access plan for a year, which is as cheap as I've ever seen it. The MME comes with a 3 month trial, so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to sign up for the promo pricing without affecting that. There's a good chance the promo will be back in 3 months, but they're currently saying that it will end 3/31, so who knows. I'm happy to report that you can absolutely sign up for the promo while under the 3 month trial, and it just adds the 12 month promo to the end of the trial period. I did it all online without having to talk to anyone. It will charge me for my first month in June ($6.48 after tax a music royalty fee) and continue monthly for a year.

I tried to get this plan and they said they just have a "select plan" for that price. I told them to cancel my plan after the trial is over, and email me when they have a better offer. I did sign up for the Ford hotspot, so I can stream through that with my phone and android auto.

I tried doing it through the car and then called them. They said they're is no free trial but they would give me six months free and then it would be $22 per month. They sounded disappointed when I told them no way.

I went online and found the free trial and the $5-$6.5 per month for a year. At that price it seems okay but anymore and it's excessive for what it is for my needs.

I love SiriusXM! And like you, I never pay full price. They’re just like the cable company- when the low cost promo plan is about to end, call and cancel. They will almost always give you a new low cost promo plan.

Lack of SiriusXM, along with lack of Apple CarPlay, and two of the main reasons I’ll never consider a Tesla.

Yeah, I did the same thing. I tried to add the promo to my existing account, but that didn't seem to be an option. But if you click through the promo first and then enter your radio ID or VIN, it matches it up to your existing account and applies the promo correctly.

You don't actually need the Ford Hotspot to stream through your phone.

I mostly got the hotspot for my wife's wifi tablet, so I guess I'm confused, thank you for correcting me.
