After deciding that Tesla 3 or Y weren't for us, and that my eye caught the MME.... well here was the next step, the order.

Premium, SR RWD Rapid Red with white interior.

They only asked for a $500 deposit on the order and it is reimbursable if I decide to not take it! So why can I lose huh!

And I don't mind if it takes a few months to get here! It will give me time to think about it and confirm if I want it or not!

Some of us got to see the car on the current Mach E tour that's going around. Honestly, seeing it in person solidified my decision to get one. It's a gorgeous car. I'm very excited, though I have about a year to wait. Welcome to the board, there's lots of good info here.

Yes I noticed that, seems like many of you had a chance to see it in real. I really on pics, vids over the net and also salesguy sight of it last week. He also said it looks better in real!

Plus with the conditions he gave me, it's a no worry order.

Said it may not be before April until I see it, which is fine for me, get the Winter away!!! And even if it only comes in for July, or November, I don't mind... will save money for it!

Nice.
Rapid Red with a white interior is a stunning combo.

I think you’re going to be very happy with your decision. Try to catch a roadshow if you can. The car is light years ahead of the Teslas I’ve been in on every major aspect.

I went and had a test drive with a Model Y from Tesla last summer. I went with MME for a few reasons:

1. The build quality issues from Tesla Model Y. Sure, nothing says the MME won't have issues, but Ford's been in the buisness much longer, so I have more faith, but I could be disappointed.
2. The interior. Tesla's Minimalistic Approach was TOO minimalistic. When I sat in the car, I didn't feel like it was a car that I paid that much amount of money for. I like that the MME has still a bunch of physical knobs for little things and not that EVERYTHING is driven from the big screen.
3. The Exterior. The Y isn't ugly, but it doesn't flash either. The MME has a much better body design IMO.
4. Strange Gimmicks in how Tesla builds their cars. For example, the Model Y's side windows, when you open the door, they lower a tad so they don't get caught in the isolation (not sure what to call it), apparently, if you're battery is dead, or if you open the door a certain way, the window won't lower which can cause issues with said isolation... That's a weird way to build a car IMO.

Technically, on paper, the Model Y has better batterie and cargo, but I'm the kind of person who needs to fall in love with a car when I buy it. Some people are OK with going for the more practical, more "logical" reason, but I need emotion when I buy my car, and the MME, even thought I don't have it yet, I've already fallen in love with it :D

And, that "emotion" is what every Mustang has in spades. Welcome to the future of Mustang!

To be fair, I don't think its a gimmick. Just a necessity based on their choice of using frameless windows.

And the Mustang Coupes all have the same type of windows which move slightly down when you open the door then back up when you close it.

The earliest deliveries in Canada if I recollect correctly will not be until after the new year, so you may not be waiting too long if its April ish time frame compared to all those waiting for a year now.

I get that!

I was "late" at deciding!!!

Dealer mentioned he had some build dates on orders taken 2 weeks ago and they ranged from mid to end of January. So add the "sitting time" at the Plant in Mexico, the transit to Canada and the waiting at the delivery parking in Toronto(most likely), that goes around March/April.

I'm happy to get only then, won't see the snow weather first thing out of the dealership!!!

Did anyone on this forum give you a "guesstimate" as to when you reasonable can expect delivery?
