Did they mean a using a rinseless wash or waterless wash product?

Rinseless washes, you don't rinse after you're done. You just wipe but you use the product mixed with water to clean the car.

Waterless washes uses concentrated product that you put on and wipe off. No additional water is needed.

Each method has its pros and cons. It really depends on how dirty your car is.

Waterless for least dirty. Rinseless for more dirty. Soap for soiled cars.

I wash with a soap cannon once or twice a month cause the soap gets into all the crevices and really helps aid in the removal of crap from the car since I can leave the soap on the car a bit before washing. It helps to pull stuff off the car as it drips and helps to soften stuck and stubborn bird poop.

I typically wash with optimum no rinse since it gets my car mostly clean with less effort. I basically rinse my car down, spray on the product, contact wash, then wipe. It helps when I wash in direct sunlight cause I can wash in sections. I don't dare wash my car with a foam cannon in direct sunlight.

I've never used waterless since my car sits outside and get coated with environmental debris.

I meant rinse-less, I have a bucket of water with the product, wash with a sponge and then immediately dry. I was the car in sections.

I ended up getting the Ryobi automotive pressure washer and for what it is it’s good for me.
I did drop the foaming cannon so I’ll be re reading my posts and get a new one.
not an expensive investment but for a hobby and a little extra exercise it’s fine for me

I’m not impressed with the foam cannon that came with the pressure washer. Did you get a different one? What did you get? I’m thinking of the MJJC.

I’d be curious if anyone has the ryobi 1200 psi unit and what cannon works well with it.

It was junk personally. I’m looking for a middle of the road. I don’t want to pay an arm and a leg but do not want junk either

So far I’m pleased with my RYOBI automotive pressure washer. I got the Raincovo Pro that just takes the soap. Works great so far but will change the Orifice to the 1.1. I added a 65’ hose on a retractable wheel (a freebie). All is mounted in the garage and a simple quick connect to my spigot just outside the garage is all I need to get going.

I’m having fun with mine. The hose is stiff but maybe over time it will relax.

Did you add quick disconnects? You can get them with swivels to help with the hose from twisting. Either way the hose is worth upgrading to the flexible ones.
