Software Update screen not refreshing

Software update screen shows “getting the latest update……” and does not refresh with any details.I did a hard Sync reset and did not resolve the issue. All connectivity is turned on everything else is working as normal. Fordpass is showing last update in Sep 2024 And shows Auto update is turned off. Any suggestions to fix this issue besides going to the dealer.

Mine seems to do this when there's something going on in the background... Updates... Downloads whatever.

I also find the connectivity options often won't load nor will WiFi networks list.

Give it a day or two and a big drive out and something might well pop up.

Mine was stuck in that state for 5 months.

As above, disconnect the negative lead from the battery, wait 20 minutes, and reconnect will force many of the car's modules to reboot - not just Sync (press and hold both the Power button (center of the Volume knob) and the Seek Right).

Once doing that, my Software Update screen was functioning again and 10.1.1 was immediately installed over-the-air the following night.

An easy solution and to access the 12V battery, this only requires removing the centre top panel under the hood and in front of the wind screen. Be careful popping up the tabs and ensure they don't fall out (I think 6?) when lifting the panel up out of the way.
