Speed alert won't turn off

I'm in the UK, with software 4.2.1.2 and can find no way to turn off the speed limit alert or adjust the tolerance to anything greater than 5mph. If I try to do the latter, it just snaps back to 5mph within a few seconds.

As a result, whenever I go more than 5mph over the limit I get a loud beep in the car. If I drop below that and go over again, the beep sounds again. Very very annoying and actually quite distracting.

Having looked at other threads, I have tried the following:

1. Deleted all profiles and recreated them. Still can't turn off the speed alert which won't switch off in any profile, including guest.
2. Done a full reset of the car using the option under General.
3. I had no mykeys set up (confirmed in the settings) but (and not sure of this was related), I did get some off error messages occasionally telling me that my settings might be restricted because of mykey, so I created a new mykey option and then deleted again,

The incessant beeping is driving me mad. Anyone else found a solution to this?

Did you check under settings/driver assistance?

Yes, the setting is there to turn it off, but clicking the toggle does nothing.
