I bought my 21 Select last year with about 60k miles on it. I initially noticed it had some occaisonal what sounded like static in the audio system. It has gotten gradually worse and now has periods where it will go a few seconds at a time with zero audio. I think the static I initially head was really just a really short period of no audio.
Some things I've observed...
It happens in all the speakers (It has the base sound system so I don't have the center speaker that seems to be commonly bad.
Some days are better than others. I think it's worse after startup for about half an hour then gets better, but still very random. I can't hit a bump and make it do it or anything like that.
Resetting it doesn't help.
Source doesn't matter, radio, android auto, satellite radio all the same.
I did have HVJB replaced and nothing changed
12v battery was new last year
Dealer updated software with no change.
Any ideas on what to investigate? My thought was to replace ACM but the part number I have is difficult to come by. Do they base models have a seperate amplifier?
