Stereo Randomly turning on and off

My stereo turns on and off at seemingly random times. Every 30 minutes or so while driving it will either turn off or turn on all by itself. The little blue flare by the power button fires so it must think the button was pressed when nothing was pressed.

I have had the stereo turn on as I walk away from the car and it auto locks and randomly when I plug it in at home.

Anyone else experience this?

I haven't experienced that, but make sure there's not some dirt or something stuck between the volume knob and the screen, especially inside the ring. It could be the touchscreen is registering something as a press.

Yes I did. Ford customer service called and basically said go to a dealer, we can't diagnose.
