Tesla Fast Charging Adapter being shipped to previous owner

Just purchased a used MME. Shows on the online portal that the free adapter will be shipped this month. Called the ford parts number to confirm that they had the correct address. Surprise - it will be shipped to the previous owner and they can do nothing about it.

Have others had similar experience? Options?

I'm in the same boat. Ford will not honor subsequent owners of the car in terms of the adaptor. The owner of record when ordered gets the adaptor. Zero flexibility. Efforts to tunnel to original owner in Ohio for me did not get anywhere.

When asked what the person would do with the adaptor without a car Ford said whatever they want. They can use it for another EV or they can sell it.

Yes, EVERYONE in your circumstance has had the same experience. That's the way it is. You have two choices:

1) Wait until Ford lets you buy one for $200, which will likely be after they send out 115,000 additional free ones.

2) Buy A2Z or Lectron's adapter. A2Z's is highly rated, well-built, and cheaper than Lectron's. The Typhoon Pro adapter is for Tesla SuperChargers. It sells for $189.00 ($170.10 after using code FORDFORUM). They also sell the Stellar adapter, which is for Tesla Destination chargers (such as hotels, private homes). It sells for $111. If you pick use the dropdown menu on the Typhoon Pro page to pick the Stellar adapter also, the combined price is $270.00 ($243.00 with code FORDFORUM). In other words, it’s only $72.90 more for the destination charging adapter. They are currently shipping quickly. I have both adapters and have used both many times.
