NHTSA asks Tesla to recall 158,000 vehicles for touchscreen failures

Hope this kind of problem doesn't afflict the MME.

Recalls happen to every manufacturer. That's actually a good thing as it means problems have been identified, solutions founds, and repairs made. But this isn't exactly a recall as Tesla is saying no deal.

As to the touchscreen issue, the affected years seem to be 2012 through 2018 Model S and Model X cars.

Tesla is making the government take them to court rather than admit there's an issue and voluntarily recall the cars. Not exactly a model of good corporate citizenship.
