Much sympathy! Happened to me last week. Young driver driving dad's F-250 cross-country for spring break didn't pull out far enough from parking spot and crushed front bumper, sensors, trim, plastic and paint of mine while parked in a parking lot. I'm expecting new bumper, sensors, tons of plastic pieces, maybe a new headlight, etc

They left a note but, yeah I'm expecting June-July for fixed... 6-10 weeks is my guess. On business day 3 of the process which is basically 1 email and 2 days of nothing. Insurance cautioned me about rental cars usually only paid for 30 days and due to supply chain stuff, once they take bumper off, could find more damage and be way longer than 30 days, etc. Makes sense, not sure how all of that is going to play out in the end.

So sorry to hear man. How long would it take to fix it?

Just to resurrect a dormant thread...

It's at the body shop as of today.

1 week for insurance to figure itself, etc... constant calling/checking in daily.

2 weeks to get on schedule for "estimate" at a body shop.

5+ weeks or so for parts to be ordered, shipped, weekly check ins, etc.

I think on week 6 since "incident", all parts were in except one.

Week 7 check-in, again I have to call every time, "all the parts are in we can put you on schedule in for next week".

So solid 9-10 weeks (so far). 4 days to fix is the estimate. This is if they don't need to order even more parts when bumper and panels are removed to see what is underneath. There has been water/rain damage to "foam" inside the bumper and I had put some plastic zip ties on myself to keep it all from falling off at high speeds. All the bumper kits and panel kits better come with all the plastic fasteners too :)

I had similar shop comments originally like, "not sure how long parts will take", and "we've had a couple Mach-E in here but it's my first time doing one".

Did OP, @KneelB4Zod, get theirs fixed and at original guesstimate?

Cheers and good luck if your Mach-E ever ends up in a shop.

My wife is at the body shop right now we had a hail storm come by a few weeks ago. Her Audi TT has over 100 dents, hopefully they don't total the car.

Either way it's gonna take a few months to be fixed. Luckily it is completely drivable

UPDATE: 7/28/2022:

So 4 months (!!!) after my passenger rear door was scrunched by an uncaring Doordasher, followed by weeks and then months of broken promises from Ford to release a new car door, all the parts finally arrived a few weeks ago and my once-beautiful Mach-e entered the shop.

Because of several, small yet cumulative hiccups on the parts supply side of things, and after several weeks of driving an infernal, noisy, small, cheaply-made ICE rental, I finally picked up my Mach-e yesterday and... it was beautiful once more!

The paint job looks factory fresh, and for the life of me, I can't tell it was ever damaged - believe me, I am picky and took my time looking at it before I accepted it back. I tell you, there is no better feeling than getting back behind the wheel of this thing! I've been flooring it ever since I got my keyfob back!

The only remaining issue that the body shop couldn't resolve despite tons of research and troubleshooting, is the "Reverse Brake Assist Not Available" error message that keeps popping up whenever I put it in Reverse. Apparently, the system still works fine but for some reason, the message keeps popping up. There are several threads here and in the F-150 forums about this message and Ford recommends driving above 18MPH on a straight road for 5-10 minutes with mininal touching of the steering wheel, which will then "re-center" the wheel and clear the message. I've been trying to resolve it since I got the car back and the message persists but since it's such a small annoyance, figure I'll just have the dealer fix it whenever I next take it in for servicing, which should be for the 10,000 mile service.

So the original estimate was around $4400 but it came in at around $5K or so. I only paid $100 out of pocket. The biggest issue were these single-use clips that some parts were using so that if you removed a part, you essentially had to break it off.

This is why the car needs sentry mode. From my understanding, the physical hardware is already on all of our cars to make this happen.
<SNIP>
It’s on some of our cars, if you are referring to the 360 camera system. I did not want the glass roof on my GT-PE, so Ford would not let me order the cameras. ?‍♂?

My Mach-e got rear ended and it took 3.5 Months. Mostly spent on waiting for the liftgate. 2 weeks actual repair. I also had that reverse brake assist message pop up after I got the car back from the body shop. What I did was I turned the reverse brake assist system off in the setting for a few days. Drive the car for a few days. Then turn it back on in the setting. Message does not show up anymore. I think It takes a while for the software to calibrate and reset. If it does not go away, you will have to let the dealer update the module and recalibrate.
