Hi there
Have my RWD SR Mach-E since july 2021 and must say, in general I'm happy with it.
But the constant stream of recalls and repairs and me having to go to the crappy dealer annoys me terribly!
Since august, I had/have to go to the dealer 4 times to get stuff repaired/ checked:

* Software update to lower the L2 charging noise.
* Front brake replacement because the car shaked a bit while braking heavily - apparently they was some irregularity due to braking in wet weather (never had this with any of my 8 cars before this one, but the Mach E cant handle regular breaking in wet weather)
* Roof glass check and refit. Just spoke to the dealer about this recall notice I received but theyre hesitant to do this because its too complicated they told me. Yea that gives me confidence. Have it planned for jan. They hope to know more how it's done by then....
* Big module software updates which cant be done OTA. Dealer said some systems like ABS and motormanagement dont go OTA. OTA is only for navigation and screen and such. So not quite a connected car it seems. PLanned for jan.

Anyway -this combined with terrible communications of Ford here in The Netherlands and the total disconnect between Ford and the dealers makes me frustrated.
I know, its a new car for Ford but it sure feels as if this car was rushed to the market.

Same in France, very frustrated.
Many recall, dealers not competent and on my side, I am stuck with OTA and the dealer just update my SYNC 4 with FDRS to Ford PowerUp 1.7.1.
I don't know why they do not update with the latest revision......

The stuff about ABS and motor controllers not being OTA is not correct, almost all modules are OTA capable (some exceptions being litterally the "gear selector", the wireless charging pad and some fuse boxes without any real "software"). The update they are installing is actually OTA 2.4.2, but it is totally different modules than the others so it is not "in line" with the other updates. It is still OTA capable. Still there seems to be some issues blocking further updates until the gateway module is updates (this is also is OTA capable, and it is technically also upgradeable by customer by just inserting a USB drive with the update files, as this is what dealer actually does, similar to the SYNC 3 upgrade procedure (actually the same procedure)).
