Towing capacity in UK / Europe

Hi all.
in October 2022 both Tesla model Y & Mach E increased their towing capacities in uk / Europe.
the Tesla is now 1600kg whereby the Mach E 1500kg…..this 100kg restricts quite a few UK smaller / midsized caravans from being towed.
Considering that the Mach E is also heavier than the Tesla is this just a temporary Mach e issue and when will they catch up.

I don't think anyone can answer your question as nobody knows what the future plans are for towing capacities apart from Ford themselves. Last years increases came out of the blue.

The whole towing thing is also officially limited to the EU models at the moment - and the lions share of forum members who will see this are from the US and will not have any experience of it apart from the odd rouge member who may have had an aftermarket tow bar fitted.
