Trip to Universal Studios

We took a trip to Universal Studios recently.
Charged to 100% b4 leaving, 122 miles from our home to there. Not a bad trip, stopped in Haines City to charge for an hour, it was free. Got to the resort and found 3 chargers there. Two were Teslas and one was a J1772. The J1772 was occupied every time I checked. Kind of disappointing they only had one for the MME. Made it all the way back without charging. Great trip.

I did manage to charge the MME b4 we headed home. I liked using BC but the speed limit recognition slowed us way down at times. I turned off the speed limit recognition and the trip with BC was much better.

Yup. I’m in Miami and can make it to Orlando with about 15% remaining. I’ll usually charge before I get off the turnpike and it’s good to drive around and make it back to the turnpike for the drive home.

That‘s a good reason to carry an adapter.

Which hotel did you stay at? I noticed the J1772 Clipper Creek at Cabana Bay was not even turned on at the breaker and I couldn't flip it, but the Tesla chargers were all powered, I was kind of mad lol.

I like using speed recognition on long cross country trips. But once you get into a city or a freeway, that’s surrounding a city and changes speed frequently, then I really don’t like it.
