Hello, Looking to source an EV cable to plug into our Ford Vehicles BEV Mach E and PHEV Kuga, we have red 5pin 415v16a 3P+N+E Commando sockets in a workshop at work, but a just a 3 pin at home. Does anyone know if I’d have to buy to separate cables of is there one that would do for both? I’m in the UK so aware there could be some differences.

If you’re referring to the chargers plugged in to domestic 3-pin and your work 3-phase sockets, they are different so you’ll need the one with 3-phase plug for work and a separate 3-pin version, all those vehicle la sound Type 2 for vehicle end of chargers.

Those chargers at pedestrian, though, 3-phase probably slight better.

Found this for 3-phase:

ASIDE-I have 3-phase leccy in garage at home so installed an ABB 22kW charge point, charges EV Stang almost always on Economy 7 overnight.

Hope this helps.

Thats great, thanks for getting back to me. EV charging can be such a nightmare because there are so many different ways to charge. I've asked around and done a bit more research and ordered this cable which has adapters that can charge with CEE, UK plugs and European if we decide to take the car on the ferry. Looks great because we would even be able to charge up at camp sites!
