Back last year there was some concern over whether this HVBJB (HVB Contactor) failure would impact us in the UK. Around about June 2022 Ford changed contactor design for new vehicles and issued a software update to monitor the voltage across the contactor to give an early warning of contactor failure. I have read on this UK section of this forum that some have had this failure so I thought it would be interesting to understand how many people have had this issue here in the UK and roughly at what mileage. Feel free to post your expereince of the repair and also how long you drove the MME after the “Service Vehicle Soon” notice before getting it repaired.

You might aalso want to find out if people had multiple failures. Many here in the US have had more than one failure.

I've voted No although I've probably jinxed myself now. ;)

Yeah - you're going to need to filter the results a little if looking for a purely UK response ?

I suspect this was my issue too - although the dealer wouldn’t confirm it
. We drove to Heathrow in July heading to the US for 6 weeks. We left the car with Purple Parking and got a call the following day to say they couldn’t open the car (after moving it from the short term parking to their holding lot). It stayed ‘dead’ for the 6 weeks until we returned - and had not had any warnings before this issue occurred. AA tried to put a charge in the 12V battery and got it started, but it died again after 2 miles leaving us stranded on a 55MPH roundabout approach near Terminal 5. It took them 5 days to relay it back to Devon and was damaged on the bonnet and front bumper when it arrived - looks like tie-down and winch damage. There were no 12v batteries available for a number of days, and we got it back eventually yesterday. Now waiting for the AA to approve the damage repairs and respray. Not a good experience
