Just seen they’ve updated the FordPass community FAQs with OTA specific answers for the UK/Europe. https://fpcommunity.ford.com/t5/Help/tkb-p/help

So ‘aiming’ for for rollout to 2.3 (1.7.1, 2.1, 2.3) in April.

‘Apple CarPlay EV routing is not yet available in Europe but is available in the US’

feeling bit better that the majority seem to be stuck on 1.6.

i am no Tesla fan, but there is a reason why they sell the most EVs:(

I was on 2.1.0 and then there was a failed update yesterday according to the car screen. I noticed that the default hvac temp was 22 instead of the 18 I normally use and the charge limit had changed to 100% when I usually leave it at 90%. The version was listed as "up to date" I wonder if it has partially installed 2.3.0.? FordPass gave me no notification about this update or it's failure.

Check your SYNC version in SETTINGS —> GENERAL —> ABOUT SYNC

If you are on SYNC v21281-244 you have Power-Up 2.3 installed

When mine installed OTA I only ever got a “You’re up to date” in the System Updates screen.

i got in mine yesterday afternoon and the climate control was off completely , I don’t ever switch it off and when I turned it back on it defaulted to 22. Doesn’t look like there’s any update though, no changes or details on the widget.

Another way of telling if you have 2.3 is that the volume level indicator has changed from vertical to horizontal.

Thanks all for your contributions. Sync version still says 21174_PRODUCT REVISION:168 plus the volume level indicator is still vertical and not horizontal. I have noticed that the range indication has significantly improved. The extra charge from 90% to 100% gained 100 miles to 311. Surely shome mishtake. (Sorry, Private Eye reference). ;)

I do think I should name this car Christine.

So most people are still on 1.6.0 as of 08/04/2022 it seems.

Looks that way. Hopefully if their rollout as per the FAQ goes as planned then we should all be sorted by end of April ?

I have just had a OTA to 1.7!. I use a Adroid widget and last night it started beeping at me indicating a OTA was imminent so I rush out and plugged the car in as the SOC was 60% and it has updated to 1.7 overnight as per update schedule set in the car

Brilliant!

Which widget are you using? The simple one or the one which needs additional bits installed?

Also had you had any "failed update" notifications in the past?

As @Wonky_Donkey has said before Ford put the brakes on the OTA rollout last November due to issues with 1.7.1 "bricking" the APIM. It seems they have resolved this now but I'm not sure if those if us like @Steve @SashaLondon who had "failed updates" got our APIM bricked in the process and need a dealer visit to unclog it, or we just need to be patient and the only actual bricked ones are those who have "-.-" in the Sync version about screen.

So if anyone had previous "failed updates" in the car or on FordPass is now receiving the April rollout then the chances are good for the rest of us.

I have not had any previously failed updates. Re the android widget. I will do a search and report back as I can't remember the details

I still have the -- revision and my software shows as "up to date". I have 1.6.0. I can see from the widget that there is an update due but it has failed to install already. Just waiting to see if it can sort itself out. Three times the automatic software button was visible and not greyed out in the last 2 weeks (I think those are the times it failed the update probably).
