The rear trunk cover is also not included unless you get the interior package Option. I agree all these minor deletions add up. From what i got with my ‘21 premium to what the ‘25 has now, it would be almost be a downgrade.

Thanks for that link, I may just buy that. It does look organized. How easy or difficult is it to remove to be able to access the storage space underneath?
Depends on how much you have in it. It does kind of latch onto the power outlet, but if you pull up from the back end it comes out fairly easily and then drops back in.

So I just got my 25 Select. I love the updated instrument panel and blue cruise was really neat.

I noticed the center console did not have the privacy cover. The dealer and I looked at a bunch of others on the lot and the only select that included it was one that had the interior protection package.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this @Ford Motor Company is this correct that there is no privacy cover on the center console on the base trim?

Other things I noticed
1) I don't need a separate at&t plan for the wifi in the car - it's part of the connected plan
Not sure what this means "part of the connected plan now"

Is unlimited Wi-Fi included in the connected plan if you continue to pay for it long-term? What is the cost?

I did the free in car wifi trial with AT&T and then looked to get the AT&T Wi-Fi plan they wanted about $225 annually or $18 a month. Are you saying the connected plan has free wi-fi now?

Or only on 2025 models

I looked it up and if you're an AT&T subscriber you can do the Wi-Fi in car for $10 bucks a month as an add-on to your regular cell plan.

I'm with Verizon and they have a $10 a month Wi-Fi plan for vehicles but I can't find any ways that Ford let you use a different carrier than AT&T.

I got this nice tray on Amazon:

Some people complain it leaves about an inch or two of space under it but I like that and it has the coin slot. It's a decent organizer
I bought that tray and like it, it sits halfway down in the compartment so you have a couple inches of room underneath it for other stuff.

It mostly comes up easy, sometimes when you pull it up the 12 volt outlet cover comes open and blocks you taking it out.

I've learned to grab it by the front divider near the outlet and use my other fingers to keep the outlet cover closed then it slides out easy.

OK, I looked at a Mach-e window sticker online, looks like ford charges $745 for the connectivity package now, which was free for a year when I bought mine. Free version had three months free wifi, the new version has wifi for a year.

When I looked up the speeds during the ATT free trial, the wifi would top out around 15mbps which is enough for me and my work laptop or movies if you were inclined. But my cell phone hot spot does 100mbps easy.

I don't think the other features in that package are too good from not using much of it vs Android Auto

Webex work meeting in your car sounds nice but doesn't have Zoom, Google Meet or Go To Meeting

HBO Prime Peacock etc
Gaming
Alexa
Voice Assisstant

I might have to cross the $745 off the sticker in negotiations.

@Mark813

In my '22 I had the at&t unlimited for the $200/year - it came with like 5GB trial. Ford then had the "connectivity plan" which is if you wanted to do YouTube / other mobile apps in the car when not on wifi and yes the price was ridiculous.

On the '25 they are giving one year free and then it's $150/year - the in car Wifi which was previously a separate plan via at&t is now bundled. With this. I did a lease so the $745 was not available the same way pre-paying for bluecruise is not available on the lease.

Thanks for the info.

I did the 5GB/3 month trial early this year, but at the time didn't get enough use out of it to fully test it. Did you find it consistent with speed and connectivity? Now my job has me in my car a couple hours a day where I could use it regularly. Hotspot works fine but heats up the phone as expected. First world problems lol.

I'm hoping they eventually open the wifi to a simple ATT/T-Mobile/Verizon any carrier option so I can bundle it with whoever I'm with for the usual $10 a month hotspot option.

Edit: from what I can tell it is an ATT device built in not a typical modem with a ATT sim that could be swapped for another carrier. Especially since newer devices use a 'digital' sim which doesn't have to be physically swapped.

I was somewhat saddened at the design of the center console storage bin in my '24 MME. I loved the 2-layer console center storage bin in my 2014, 2016 and 2018 Ford Fusions (each model was an upgrade from the prior). The padded armrest between front seats was the console lid, hinged at the back. There were two latches just under the front lip of the armrest. One only lifted the lid to access the bin's top compartmented tray. It was shallow, with a coin section (well, that's what I used it for) and the remainder could be used for anything that would fit, including a cell phone or smaller things that you didn't want settling into the bottom of the main bin. The other latch lifted the lid AND the top shallow storage tray, giving full access to the main storage bin, power plug, FOB storage, USB-C access point and enough room to keep most everything you normally would put in there. I thought this was a great design feature and would love to have it in my MME...but alas....
I really liked the stacked 2-compartment storage bin in the FFE as well. Super-functional and provided support for the forward part of the arm rest instead of the dumb cantilever that people have broken in the MME. I cringe when my sister gets into my car as I watch that arm rest flex under load. 😰🐩

@Mark813 My son uses it to stream videos and other than the typical dropout in certain areas which is a single issue and not something with the car it works great - I haven't done a speed test with it yet but I know it's 5g where as before it was LTE

@Creaky - Did you order it or was it from the dealer? Also if you weren't tracking the build - even though it was delivered 3 weeks ago, when the build process started and when it was shipped from Mexico could be very different. I could have been one of the last Job 1 builds

I got it from the dealer but it was in stock, so not build to order. I guess it was on a lot in Mexico for a couple of months before I bought it and it was shipped to NL, so it's probably an early 2025 build in which the cover was still included. I guess I dodged a bullet there 😅

If you want to experiment.... if you google for mach e console safe you will see some examples - in theory this could be used as an example...

in my opinion the "safe" is overkill, but in terms of having some site supports and then a top with a small door - it would serve the same purpose
I traded my 2021 Select for a 2025 Select and the only thing that I really miss is the sliding console cover. Seeing the stuff inside makes it feel junkie. I've been on the lookout for something with which to fashion a cover. In the dollar store with my wife this morning, she hands me a small cutting board and says, "Will this work?" For $2.50 I thought it was worth a shot. Turns out, it is almost the perfect size, and the width and thickness fits snugly into the front groove (where the original sliding cover would seat) so it isn't rattling around. The console opening narrows toward the back which prevents it from falling in. It works for me, until something better comes along. Love my Mach E!
