OMG, well the Carfax were interesting, probably should of checked those before wasting everyone time ?

The dealer has 10 Mach Es.

5 are lemons
2 are lemons with salvaged titles
2 were reacquired by Ford to replace the battery
1 has a clean title.

I'm not going to suggest what the "right" decision is for you on any of these but I can share my experience as owner of an early build lemon/buyback Mach-E premium extended range.

Mine had 7k miles on it and the dealer provided info on the issues that led to the buyback and what was fixed. There are also members of this forum that seem happy to look up the history I these.

Mine did not have functioning bluecruise and was way behind on updates but, with the help of Mach Lee on here and my dealer, everything has been progressing nicely and I've been getting OTAs for almost two months and am currently at 4.2.1 with functioning Bluecruise. I've put just over 2k miles on mine so far and I love this car.

I've also purchased a couple other lemon/buybacks before. If you're planning to keep them for a while, they can be a nice deal. The original factory warranty still applies and you can still buy an extended Ford plan if you wish.

I also totally get not wanting to bother with it, especially if you are likely to flip the thing within a year or two. That title brand will always depress its value.

I’m not surprised that they are lemons, but shocked that a dealer would willingly buy that many of them. Holy shit.

Uh, shouldn't you confirm your trade in price first? I am pretty sure it will be lower than what you expect. I am curious on where they are right now.

Interesting, I guess I never thought about what happens to a car after it is branded a lemon before this.

I bought mine from Van Horn Ford in Sheboygan. This dealership group has decided that dealing with buybacks is an intentional strategy. They stand behind them and their policy is to buy it back in the future for the value as if it didn't have the lemon title. I've had several positive experiences with this dealership group, though I've never purchased a car at the Lomira location.

Especially for a smaller dealer in the middle of nowhere.

Interesting strategy. It's good to hear they're not awful, it seemed kinda sketchy at first.
