I pulled fuse 21-22 under the passenger footwell. I tried to start the car to verify the modem wasn’t working.
BUT, the car wouldn’t start up.

So, if your car suddenly doesn’t want to start, check your fuses first before blaming your 12V battery.

Was the car not reporting back to Ford Pass that made you think it was the modem first or something else? Just wanted to know what issues you were experiencing so I can keep that in mind should I experience something similar.

I just haven’t gotten an update in a while. Based on posts I’ve seen here I’m a behind on them. Figured reset the modem as first try. I usually get a long overdue update after disconnecting the battery

I’ve grown a weird habit of pulling the -12V every 6 months. I’ve found it clears the “cobwebs”. Most modules are always on, and don’t ever reboot unless there is an update. I’m an IT guy. Always hard power cycle things every so often. It solved something twice in two and a half years. Like tire rotations or wiper fluid, maybe something to do every x miles / months.

Dans la doc ils disent que que le 21 c' est le module pour le changement de vitesse et le 22 c 'est le module de la colonne de direction. Normal que la voitire ne démarre pas ?

The other modules powered by that fuse are required to start the car. Yes, you definitely want to put it back or you’ll be stuck.

Add it to the 10,000 mile service checklist 😄
