UPDATE: I just arrived home with 32% SoC. All’s well. (@Mach-Lee recommended that I stop the preconditioning since - paraphrasing - the priority should be getting electrons into the battery, not making the battery be in a condition to accept more.)
Thanks to all who replied!
I’m at an Airbnb with a 40A charger. Last night it should have fully charged but a bit before 1AM the circuit breaker tripped. (No idea why - the car has been charging since 9PM and the owner has used the charger many times in the past and it’s a 50A breaker.) I didn’t discover it until this morning. The car is charging again now. Checkout is at 11AM.
My question is: I have preconditioning set up for today, but I’m wondering if I should turn it off since obviously it will take away power that would otherwise go to the battery (but at the same time a warm battery chargers fast). Temps overnight we’re in the upper 30’s and I’d guess it’s in the low 40’s now.
Any thoughts?
