Using a Ford Power Station Pro to Charge a Tesla

Excellent, If you know of any good adapters that the OP may use, I'm sure they'd like to know any recommendations.
Nothing official. The official Tesla CCS adapter is only for DC charging and has no AC input pins.

The adapter from Amazon linked above should work in theory. But it basically shorts the AC and DC pins together. Therefore when using it with the Ford CSP, AC power will backflow into the DC pins on the charger. Not sure if that will cause any errors or problems with the CSP or if the DC pins are internally disconnected until it is set up for power sharing.

I think the adapter Tesla owners here use at our ccs stations is made by Tesla. Sort of a reverse of the Tesla made NACS adapter we got?
You're kinda missing a few details here. Tesla includes a J1772 to Tesla adapter with the cars, have since 2018, IIRC. And they're cheap anyway. Tesla also makes a CCS to Tesla adapter for fast charging, as does Lectron and A2Z. You can not use the CCS to Tesla adapter for AC charging, you would need a special adapter with switching electronics inside of it. This is where the hangup comes in with Ford Charge Station Pro. It is a level-2 AC charger, but Ford put the CCS connector on it. But it's not used for DC power output, Ford designed it to use the DC power pins for returning AC power from the F-150 Lightning for the home power backup.

Even though the AC portion of the CCS connector is J1772, you can't simply dock a J1772 to Tesla adapter on there. So people are taking a J1772 to Tesla adapter and shaving off some plastic so it fits. It's a simple fix. Some older Teslas, that also don't support CCS charging with Tesla's adapter, still seem to be incompatible with the Charge Station Pro, or with how it negotiates charging.

Now if you're up for an even bigger puzzle. Those who have PHEVs or electric motorcycles, mobility scooters and such with J1772 ports have an even more impossible task of charging with the Ford Charge Station Pro. You can't just plug that CCS connector into a J1772 port. And no such adapter exists because that's not how those connectors could work together in any standardized way. The best possible solution there is to buy a J1772 extension cable and modify the female end to fit the CCS handle on the Charge Station Pro. That's an expensive hack that may or may not work for the vehicle you're trying to charge. So have not seen any reports of anyone trying it. Most just end up swapping out the Ford charger for something else. Which is the better solution all around unless you're trying to use the home power backup with the Lightning.

There’s no indication it has any active electronics inside to detect AC or DC charging and switch between the proper pins. That’s why it warns you to close the DC flap when AC charging to prevent “leakage”. The DC pins are likely energized with AC power when AC charging.

But no one has done any testing to see if and how it works.

Fair assessment. I guess someone will have to take one for the team and give it a try... I don't have a FCSP hooked up. I have one new in the box that I've tried to sell off and on.

Hey all. A friend of mine has a F-150 Lightning and he charges it with FCPS and he recently got a Tesla Model Y. After some research he found this video where Tom of State of Charge recommends this adapter. You can see how it works and actually charges his Tesla on 11:20 min mark.
