I want to use a V2L adaptor for my 2022 mach e premium, but online it only says compatible with hyundai and kia. Any ideas if it will work for Ford or if there is a specific one I can buy?

I don't think that exists ... the car doesn't have support for it, so it's not going to connect the high voltage battery to allow an adapter to work.

If you search Mach-e v2x you'll find a video about a device that does much more. It essentially makes the Mach-e able to reverse power a house. That's something only the F150 lightning is advertised as being able to do, but they got it to work with the Mach-E.

Personally, I would not be willing to risk my warranty

No, the Mach-E doesn't support AC output. Those adapters won't work.

You'll have to wait for the next gen of Ford EV's, those will have it.

That's the trade-off we have over their ICCU that randomly bricks their vehicles.

Apparently there are V2L adapters that work with the Mach-E. I have seen (on YouTube) a system (Sigenergy, I believe) that is integrated into a solar charger that allows up to 25kW output from the Mach-E!

Tlyard has one that may work with he Mach-E. It is available as a 3.5 kW 120V or 7.5 kW 120V with a 240V 14-50 receptacle as well. I would talk to the company. No, this is not "official" and even if it works today, Ford could push out an update that kills it in the future. Basically, these setups trick the car into thinking you are plugged into a DC charger and closes the battery contacts. Then the device can simply pull power from the battery instead of charging the battery. They aren't cheap, though... something like $1,100.

Probably a bad idea to try to use the battery like that. However, it’s your car. Just don’t kill your family in a fire or destroy the neighborhood. The TIyard solution mentioned is for Teslas. None I’ve looked at have passed UL or equivalent testing. If you’re car melts because of it, you surely won’t be covered by anyone (may be including your home insurance). Try one and let us know šŸ˜†.

Another option is hooking up an inverter / DC-DC converter to your remote 12v battery contacts under the hood. Some people have also modified the plastic and added external terminals so that they don't have to take off the surround. Just make sure to turn on your car fully so as not to drain the 12v while exporting power this way.
