Hello,

Maybe it is so 20th Century, but I kept a paper logbook in my car's glove compartment for years. I changed what I logged when I got my 2015 Fusion Hybrid because additional information was displayed. I also kept one of the trip odometers as mileage since the last fillup and noted the information at the next fillup. I also made brief notes about trips and vehicle service.

The first time I used the car for the day (usually mornings) I would note down the date. I write on the next line "Start:", main odometer, mileage to empty, global mpg, and outside temperature.

I usually filled my gas tank, so I would write the fuel cost, fuel amount, mileage to empty before fueling, mileage to empty after fueling, "Full" (if I filled the tank), main odometer, trip odometer (since last fillup), EV miles (since last fill up), and trip MPG. I would reset the trip odometer after I logged the information. If I did not fill up, then I would only log the fuel cost, fuel amount, and main odometer.

I wonder if other BEV vehicle owners keep a logbook and what information they log? It appears at the start of day I want to log the main odometer, SOC, indicated range, global miles/kw, and outside temperature. The charging information I want is SOC before charging, SOC after charging, indicated range before charging, indicated range after charging, charge time, and miles/kw since last charge.

It looks like the information I want is in Sync and FordPass. Is the information persistent? Can I export any of the data? Unfortunately I do not have my car yet.

Thanks, Eric

That is an area that needs improvement in the app. I could not see any option to export that data, in some cases I noticed that it missed a charging session altogether. If you have a ChargePoint or other smart EVSE, you can get that charging starts from them. Since I don't have one yet, I've been using Emporia Energy to log my charging sessions. The charging sessions in the FordPass app seem to be persistent for a little over a month for me.

As for the Journey log, you can export that info to CSV, minus the maps. And the persistence of that seems to be good. I have all the trips logged since I got the car.

In the car Journeys under MME, there is an option of EV Data, it claims it will have energy use & efficiency. But this is coming soon.

Thanks. I looked at the charge logs in the Fordapp and the information, plus other notes will fill my need for logging. From other threads I see long-term miles/kW is a good number to track.

I decided to keep a charging spreadsheet on my home computer as well as a vehicle logbook.
