View nav map while keeping current-location curser in the center of the map?

New owner here (premium, AWD, ER) who can’t find how to view the map while keeping the current-location curser steady in the center of the map. Is there a button that will re-center the curser? Or a setting I haven’t found yet? Thanks for your help.

Try the 3D button. That is the view setting I use and the "you are here" arrow stays in the center of the screen. I didn't know there was a setting that did otherwise....

You can zoom out with a two finger tap in the screen which keeps you centered. You can zoom in with a double tap which also keeps you centered. When you move the map around by dragging, a symbol appears at top left which recenters the map but, unfortunately, it also zooms the map in to very close view.
