That is SOOO true. Or just have remote start also precondition the car. My departure times to and from work on not constant and hence I don't do prearranged departure times. This makes sense to me.

Doesn’t even need the time limit selection. Just start preconditioning. It may take 90 minutes of it’s cold enough. If I haven’t started the car by the time the precondition is complete, then let it shut off.
