When to start securing financing/rates

I think we are about a week or so out from delivery. Safe to start the credit process with Ford Credit or any other banks? I’m just looking to save time, but more so, headaches at the dealership.
Or should we wait? I see FC locks approval and rates for 180 days.

Are you going to do financing or lease ?

Both routes seems to be attractive now thru FMC.
