Why FordPass Charging?

Forgive my ignorance, but I haven’t been able to find a clear answer by Googling - what is the benefit of using a charging station that’s part of the FordPass Network vs. one that isn’t?

If everything worked properly, it would aggregate several separate charging networks into a single app and payment system. But by all accounts, it's currently pretty flaky.

Yes as @generaltso answered there are supposed benefits but not sure we are getting them all yet. See below thread where there was an attempt to understand this. Some of the responses provide the expectations I guess.
