agree, GT is a different thingClosest I've been to Newmarket in the past couple of years is Vaughan, but I live out in Hamilton, so maybe

Agreed. My 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid had a far more dynamic IPC!
Also from the area, pretty sure I’ve seen your green GT around! I’ve got a grabber GT and would down for a GT meetup at some point.Closest I've been to Newmarket in the past couple of years is Vaughan, but I live out in Hamilton, so maybe

Has it been confirmed we won’t receive 1.5? As far as I knew, that hasn’t been officially confirmed. I could be wrong though. Also from the area, pretty sure I’ve seen your green GT around! I’ve got a grabber GT and would down for a GT meetup at some point.
As for the topic of this thread, my 2 cents is we aren’t going to see the new UI trickle down. No point in Ford giving us the new UI because we won’t get BC 1.5 with the auto-initiated lane changes so no need for new graphics.
I fail to see what BC 1.5 and the auto-initiated lane changes has to do with the new 2025 IPC. There isn't anything on it that doesn't apply to older versions. Note that when it is about to do the automatic lane change it just displays a message before doing it, but nothing that would really be that different than from what you would see on 1.4 if you just tapped the turn signal to do the automatic lane change. Also from the area, pretty sure I’ve seen your green GT around! It also seems like Ford doesn’t know.I fail to see what BC 1.5 and the auto-initiated lane changes has to do with the new 2025 IPC. There isn't anything on it that doesn't apply to older versions. I have no idea if Ford will trickle down the new IPC, but I don't see anything that suggests there is some kind of limitation based on BC 1.5.
On why BC 1.5 can't be put in the older cars is more "explainable" even though I have not seen any kind of official conformation on it. The image processing unit has been updated, and the forward camera has been changed for one with more resolution. It also seems like Ford doesn’t know.
Brian, from Ford has commented on this a few times and is confirming. Youd think if they already knew it wasn’t going to, they would’ve said it, but who knows.
I also fail to understand why Ford wouldn’t be able to push automated lane changes to older vehicles when all it’s doing is just requiring us not to tap the turn stalk. The vehicle already suggests when a lane change is available and all we’re doing is telling it to make the lane change. I don’t see how it’s not capable of just doing the lane change itself without tapping the turn stalk.
honestly, I’d be more pissed if I was a 2024 owner that got their car a year ago and now they may already not be getting 1.5. Ford should definitely be retrofitting new units in those vehicles if it truly is a hardware limitation. I don’t expect it for me (2021 vehicle) without paying, but I’d be a bit pissed as a 2024 owner.
Not sure, I picked mine up about a month ago. FWIW I live in the Hammer, so if you're that way, maybe it was me!.Also from the area, pretty sure I’ve seen your green GT around! I’ve got a grabber GT and would down for a GT meetup at some point.
Ford should definitely at least goodwill a hardware retrofit for you 2024 owners if that’s what’s needed.2024 owner here and while I agree I did save $10k off the price and got a bunch of free stuff so I’m not sad I didn’t wait for the 2025. I also prefer the rotating dial and separate wiper stalk. The BC 1.4 interface says when the car is ready to change lanes then it’s up to me to flick the turn signal to initiate. I’m okay with doing this myself.
However, I really prefer the new driver dash interface. I’m tired of the lame top view and off centre blue/orange/red crash zone graphic. Brake coach should be in all modes and there should be an indicator as to which mode you’re driving in.
Yes to this. I don’t need a replica of the 2025 screen. I do want more information. Time and temperature, drive mode, and power meter.Honestly, new dash is nice but it doesn’t add time and temperature (these are on central console requiring you to take your eyes off the road). Wish they would add that to all driver display.
