Wow! An NACS adapter update from Ford!

I ordered my adapter in February and have an order number in the high 7000's. To my knowledge I've never received an update from Ford before by email but I just got one yesterday (August 1st). I searched the forums to avoid a duplicate post, but didn't see any so here goes.

I've never called Ford about the adapter but I've checked my Ford account online from time to time and like everyone else I see the months roll by and the moving new target. Since this is FREE adapter, I'm not sweating or complaining about the delays and if I really needed one, I'd buy one.

I did see those posts previously. My post was specifically about the email notifications, which had been lacking, at least for me, not the content.?

Yeah its a bit on the frustrating side, the only fast charging option near one of my favorite camping/hiking spots is a tesla supercharger but looking more into it, its not even open to non tesla vehicles. So charging in between destinations is the only option for the time being.

Technically not your only option. I just got a Lectron Vortex adapter and charging at a Tesla Supercharger is great. Plugged in and voila. Blue Oval did the rest.

I received the same e-mail. It was originally scheduled for June, then moved to July.

I know one doesn’t have to do with the other, but on the news tonight, the astronauts may have to stay on the space station till next year. If they’re working with Tesla on this, I’m seeing some similarities, I can see that letter to the astronaut will get you back in August, sorry there’s been a delay. We’ll get you back in September……… on and on and on.

Probably but the fact they’re mentioning SpaceX and Elon Musk, I have to think of my poor adapter, not coming?

Thank you so much for sharing your experience-----I am tired of waiting for Ford and looking to purchase an adaptor. I am almost ready to sell my Mach-E as I would like to drive to DC without anxiety.

Sorry your anxiety level is so high on that trip. I've made two roundtrips between DC and NY this month (with the Tesla adapter) and 5 others without it in the last couple of years. Lots of charging in that corridor.
