How long should I expect to wait before I get a VIN? Does the VIN come from Ford or from the dealer?

I'm guessing your ordered online. I'm not sure when the VIN will come - if I remember right, my first indication that my vehicle was scheduled for production came from an email from Ford, which also contained the VIN. But I think I received that email 4-6 weeks before the production date (which later slipped by one week). So hopefully you'll get it within the next two or so weeks.

Finally got my Mach AWD ETD last Monday from my very professional and helpful Ford dealership. Car was immaculate and front/rear dash cams hardwired in as required. No markups and price was frozen as at the date of order. Colour charged from grey to Rapid Red at my request. It is a great driver's car and I like the hard ride plus the one pedal drive. It is ace and I am thrilled.
