I dropped my cable service and subscribed to YTTV. After mucking around in the car the other day I see that I can watch YTTV in the car. What is the reason this is hidden under the account tab and not prominently displayed?

Because of a fight between Google and Roku a year or two ago.

The link was added during the period where Roku users could not download the YouTubeTV app but could download the YouTube app.

It was a way to watch YouTubeTV from the YouTube app, which could still be downloaded, on the Roku.

I believe he is talking about it from a Mach Es perspective. Yes, Google put the link there, it was not Ford who did that. Ford does not officially support YTTV. The team is aware it's possible to get to it. However there are performance issues that affect the overall experience which is why it's not officially supported. If those change, or there is a better way Ford can support it with proper agreements, then you *might* see an official "app" in the entertainment space.

I was attempting to make it clear that the link there has nothing to do with the MME.

It is just happenstance.
