2023 Mach E Select AWD, 2013 Audi A4 Stage 1
Well the federal credits were ending and I knew I wanted a "new" car so I figured what the hell, let me start looking. Well, I had a price point in mind and honestly the MME was never on my radar as an option. I had a Scion and Toyota reliability kind of had me sold. Well a terrible car salesman later and I started looking at EV's again and well, this 2023 popped up with relatively low miles from what I'm use to buying and the price was, too good to be true? A 2 year old car for almost half if not more of it's original MSRP? What gives..

So I did more research and man, the MME really seemed like a no brainer. I took a days and really made sure a fully electric car made sense for my life. If this was 10 years ago, absolutely not but in 2025, chargers are plentiful for the few long distance trips I would make so I stopped worrying. (not including the handful of free ones in my area if I wanted to save even more). I did more and more research on the car and it's features and it was everything I could have wanted coming from a 2008 year car. After driving it, trade-ins, credits, etc. I was happy with the price and excited about a basically new car.

After owning it for a month I can say it's one of the best car purchases I've ever made! The features are nice, the car feel fresh with each drive. I'm constantly thinking about the money I'm saving over time owning this and I can "fuel up" whenever I want at home!

Time will tell but this has been a wonderful experience so far and has really sold me on EV's and possible staying in the Ford ecosystem. Hopefully they won't skimp on updates but overall, love this car! Even talking to co-workers about it, they even say the car is sharp and it makes them look into the EV segment of cars. It's always funny seeing more of these on the road each day and I'm already looking to "sport it up" a bit with some body kits, wings, etc to give it some character since I'll have it for a long time.

How has everyone's else experience been with the MME? I know I'm late to the party but always nice to hear the experiences. This group seems to be more down to earth than a certain musk lingering about 🤣.

52 mths & 119,750 miles in and the experience has been just great!

Car’s been a proper work horse fully loaded to max weight nearly all that mileage and never really think of it differently to any other car I had except how great the convenience refuelling in garage at home is, speaking of which………

Should do.

When connected to charger.

This is the screenshot of the new app I only just received yesterday so have very little experience of it but a variation of it always appeared on the old app.

Welcome to the forum.

I’ve been driving EVs for 10 years. I’ll never go back to gas.
100% agree. Almost all anti-ev is from ppl who never drove on EV. My favorite is people who never drove an EV telling me how mine works.

Welcome!
Most of us really enjoy our vehicles here, and many are great at helping each other, so this forum will be a good place to go for info!
I totally agree with you regarding the Ford ecosystem, I originally bought a F150 Lightning, which I absolutely love, and the wife really enjoyed it, so when we went to buy a 2nd vehicle, we bought the MachE. Love both vehicles, love having EVs, etc. You are going to get the knuckle heads that think they know more about your car than you and tell you all about how bad EVs are.... Of course you will make your own judgments. People will say how your ev is going to explode /catch fire, you counter with... Aaaand your vehicle with a tank of flammable liquid won't? They're going to say... I just don't want to stop on a trip for a half hour to charge, you'll say... After driving 250 miles or more, I am totally ready to stop and eat or pee. They're going to say I just like filling up fast... You say, well, when I wake up every morning I have a full tank........ They're going to say, yeah, but I would hate to pay for a battery replacement... You say, yeah, and I would hate to pay for a transmission or motor replacement too...... They'll say... We are never going to change how we travel, gas cars are the best... You say.... So why aren't you still riding a horse? There is literally a counter argument for every problem they think you are going to have. Lack of education on EVs is crazy stuff, I find most people are relying on social media and 'their brothers friends uncles cousin that read about Teslas in 2018.

I can tell you a whole different story
Went to my favorite ford dealer 30 miles away to purchase a new bronco and the wife spots this Bright Grabber Yellow after a quick test drive I purchased it and so very glad I did
The best ford I have ever had
Put a stripe on it

2021 MME Select AWD, 2023 Ariya Venture+
Welcome to the forum! I got my '21 Select AWD one year ago, and it's the best car I've ever owned. No problems (knock on wood). I did replace the 12V battery right away and had to wait a bit before the OTAs started up. We now love EVs so much that last month my wife got a '23 Nissan Ariya with state and federal credits. I've only done a few 400-mile trips in New England but have had no issues with Superchargers and ChargePoint. I recommend the A2Z adapter. The range of the Select is fine, as long as you have some patience on longer trips. I am a bit jealous of the Ariya's range, at 300 to 400 miles (with my wife's driving). Just ceramic coated both EVs myself. The prep was a bit of work but they truly sparkle.

Hopping into a "new" car after a while is a crazy feeling, I had the same experience when I got my first EV in 2019. Unlike anything else I have ever driven, but back then the charging infrastructure was nothing like it is now. Hope you have many enjoyable miles ahead of you, congrats on the Mach E!

Had NO intentions of getting an EV since the media was bashing them so hard. But my solar field was working out great and I figured, WTH, let's buy one as our "spare vehicle" since we could fuel it up for free and one of our ICE vehicles was ripe for trade in. A test ride was a real eye opener to say the least. It's my daily driver and so far I'm really happy with it. No going back to ICE for me no matter how hard the fossil fuel weasels try to kill EV's. Once the MME was in my garage there was some anxiety trying to adapt to some new tech but this site helped enormously.

Welcome to the forum.

I’ve been driving EVs for 10 years. I’ll never go back to gas.
I agree!

I love EV's so much that my rental is an EV. My car was just t-boned due to a driver making an illegal left turn, so I had to get a rental. I kept calling rental companies until I find one with an EV because I am electric bougie (pull up and power at night only please. ) My rental is a 2023 Kia EV6, very cool inner aesthetics and features, but not the sexy, smooth MME!

Welcome to the EV universe, particularly that of the MME!
