One fewer Mach-E GT - Totaled

After 6 wonderful months of ownership, our Mach E GT was taken from us by our insurance company. We were hit from behind, although the damage doesn't really show that. I am glad I don't have to deal with a body shop and a repaired vehicle, but we sure do miss this car. I will say the car is built like a tank and I feel better about its safety now than I did before. RIP Mustang Mach E GT.

My two girls were in the car, and yes they are OK.

Excellent news! Sorry for the loss of the car, prospects for getting a new one, without paying way over, seem slim.

Any way to get a new one quickly? Maybe someone can pull some strings.

I've done a quick shopping quest for all over my local area, and the dealer markup has only gotten worse since December. I was quoted $93K for one yesterday. I expect I'll wait for the order banks to open up and place an order. If anyone sees a Performance package version at a reasonable price, please let me know.

I hope you get market value for the vehicle...should be worth more than you paid. Find comp listings and give to your insurance company.

I see you are in California. Keep an eye on Galpin in Los Angeles. Their markup on a GTPE should be starting at $7,500. Sounds like it’s a lot better than what you’ve been quoted.

very sorry for the loss, but really glad to hear you are all fine. That is what I want from a car…to give its life to save ours.

We purchased our Mach E GTPE from Galpin and worked directly with Neil Stone. It was by far the best experience ever with a car purchase.

We never had to go and speak with anyone else during the entire purchase process. No back room pressure, finance person etc…If you are anywhere in So Cal, I highly recommend that you give him a call. Even if you are not in So cal, worth speaking with him.

100% of all promises kept on price protection and rebates etc.

They are one of the largest dealers in the country and that means they are more likely to have cars. There was a Space White GT on the lot when we got ours, but by the time we were leaving it was being sold.

Keep us posted on the insurance settlement process. When I had to deal with a totaled car, the insurance company kept comparing it to lower-spec versions (and I had to keep sending it back to get corrected), as there were thousands of dollars in difference on the enthusiast model versus the entry-level (like comparing a written-off 2013 Golf GTI Driver's Edition to the base 4-door).

Be prepared to have them compare the Mach-E GT to a Select 68 kWh (not that there isn't anything wrong with the base model, but it's not the GT).
