Why is there a Tholian Web now on my display?

HA Ha after one of the latest updates the background of the speed display now looks like a Tholian Web. (if you don’t know what that is look it up)
Must escape fast before they finish.

The orange design hasn’t a thing to do with Gene Roddenberry. It indicates that the car is in Unbridled drive mode.

that pattern is in the hood stripe on my Rally, and the trim of my dashboard. I also have it in my display when "unbridled".

I've seen all those episodes - my favorite is from the Enterprise series.

Yep, but as an old canine I prefer the original word. “Unbridle Mode” also sounds so wrong that it’s not funny.

The faster you go the more it traps you.

For the 2025s they made this a bit more subtle and consistent where all the driving modes have it but color coded to the mode you are in. Here is with my wife driving in Engaged mode, with two pedal.

Hmm, I didn’t notice that this is different than the normal Unbridled, speed indicator. But now that you pointed it out I see it is different. I have never seen it before.

It’s the non Adas display for pre 2025 cars. So if a required camera glitches, there’s pretty much what you’ll see.
