I too have no idea where my pony has gone. It was born and I haven’t heard from it since. I tried to ask my Pal if he’d seen it but all he can say is that he’d never heard of it. It’s not the end of the world because I get to see all your parenting mistakes. I hope it’s found soon because I need a horse to pull my cart to market.

That’s one way to look at it. You might consider getting a Wrangler to round up those wayward Broncos though.

the good news is that it sounds like you have a date now. it's a bit like sausage: it doesn't matter what happened before it gets to you as long as it gets to you in the right condition!

okay that might not be a good way to look at it. maybe forget I said that.

There is definately a hold up in Mexico and as usual we are not getting any information about it. Mine was built 1/15 and it is still sitting there. Ford webpage says it shipped 1/23 but dealer says no it hasn't shipped and it does not show up on Palsapp so it has not made it to Kansas City. Delivery isn't expected for another 45 days.

Yes I am mad and disappointed with Ford. I don't want to hear any more excuses of COVID or supply lines. Ford initially messed up on the build otherwise we would not have these additional QC issues and checks. Yes the additional delays cause further pile ups and even more delays but that is still on Ford. The most irritating part is that cars built after ours are being finished on the line, shipped and delivered before us. Rant over.

it’s an understandable complaint, and one for which I don’t have an answer. You already know that auto racks are at a historic low. You know that train and CDL employers are manpower constrained. That’s only an explanation, not an excuse.

Yes, the additional delays are Ford’s responsibility, even where parts suppliers sent out of spec parts, didn’t send parts at all or loaded the wrong firmware on parts. But it does explain why the extra delays are occurring. It explains why most of a recent build week didn’t happen at all. And it explains why most of us are still waiting, even though we don’t like it.

We had all how’d 2021 would be different. It is. We’re reaping the results of a growing pandemic and an unprecedented economic downturn.

All I can say is I hope your car is delivered far faster than estimates and the rest of our cars get built in a timely manner. That would be good for all of us.

I have been reading these posts for a few months and the timetable on production doesn't make sense. Some orders move right along get shipped and delivered before some other orders that came in before them. My Mache still shows in production, while others have already been shipped. Why did Ford have to build this car in Mexico? How about somewhere closer in the US. Just my thoughts.

I don't know that we here can absolutely answer, but one of the reasons is the trade war with china and europe. Europe is a big market for the MME because of the environmental regulations that will hurt Ford if they can't get the average CO2 levels down across their fleet. So, by building in mexico they avoid tariffs.

I know what you are saying but part of running a business is disaster recovery and planning for redundancy in systems. We made a decision at our company a long time ago to give everyone laptops instead of desktops in case of a disaster like a hurricane. We have multiple data centers. We even have office spaces that we can put people into if the main office went down. We used that plan doing hurricane Maria when the island got hit with a category 5 hurricane. It has also come in handy during COVID because we had almost no down time. We even passed out mobile hotspots to our employees in India and the US in case their home internet didn't work.

Ford should've had multiple contingency plans. We are seeing supply issues from GE on them being able to deliver appliances. We put in a plan using a couple of people that find appliances at Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowes or other stores and order them online. A couple of us are racking up American Express points like crazy.

There are only so many manufacturers of certain parts. And what leads you to believe that Ford hasn't made contingency plans for various parts such as the specific type of microchips required? It's not only likely but highly probable that the reason the Cuautitlan Stamping and Assembly Plant is still able to crank out cars is that it's in Mexico and thus not subject to the Trade war between the US and China, and also it may still be running because additional supplies were sourced through Taiwan.

This goes beyond microchips. Aluminum is hard to come by atm as well. And other than Tesla, finding parts for your cars at the Warm Springs Lowes isn't a good idea. Not everything has an available alternative source. And those that do? Their supply is very limited as well. Witness all the factory shutdowns and single shifts.

I hear you but I think we will have to agree to disagree on Ford's performance. We will probably never know that the Stop Ship and extra QC was really about. My Mach drop is not here and Ford isn't telling me anything and cars built after mine are being delivered. From my standpoint, Ford has failed.

I don't think either one of us wants to become a you know who....

Totally understand the frustration but the manufacturing location would not even be a question if deliveries were fast. The location far south in MX only adds a week to the delivery time as compared to say Hermasillo where the Broncos are made. I dont think the location is the problem here but all other issues that we dont know of that Ford is dealing with. And yes Ford communications should be improved.

Yes it appalling, perhaps calling the 800# posted in some other thread could shed some light or a better status?
