I know. Lincoln teased us a while back with the Lincoln Star (?) concept but they failed to deliver šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
Lincoln’s problem in general is they have zero sport packages on any of their vehicles. It’s a real gap for people who want something from Ford that is more upscale but want their vehicle to lean toward sport not comfort.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard Jim Owens say, "we didn't want to make another tire and sticker package..."

Did you own one? My '86 LSC had an automatic and didn't think they came with a manual but now I think you're messing with me.... 🤣

It was the only Lincoln I ever owned but because it had the Mustang 5.0 HO engine, I had to have it. 🤣

I just got word that orders guides have been shared with dealers, and build and price will go live early 2026. I don't have an order guide that I can share here, unfortunately, but you should be able to chat with your local dealer for more info.

I love how Mach-E continues to evolve, and that people are really starting to fall in love with them!

One pain point for me though.....Jim had said: " ā€œOne thing I can promise, however, is that we will never make an all-electric Mustang.ā€

Yet we keep folding traditional Mustang ideas into Mach-E, like the C/S?

I think Ford really needs to decide if it's Mustang Mach-E, or just Mach-E honestly.....

Excited to see what powertrain options await "Mustang" shortly myself. A little bummed that no pure electric option is planned, but the possible hybrid has my attention for sure :).

I’ve always said that Ford could come out with a ā€œLincoln Mark Eā€, and it would do well (GT-based with a little extra ooomph and all the usual Lincoln luxury bits. Obviously a very different body.)
I suspect that the skateboard coming out of the skunkworks will enable Ford to offer a greater variety of models. From that coming truck to a mini-van to a Lincoln to a 3 row SUV. An excellent skateboard will greatly lower the cost of bringing out new models. An SUV offering the luxury ride along with excellent handling could be compelling.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I paid around $58K for my 2022 Premium in May of that year. Just to put current pricing in perspective.

I like the looks. Nifty accents.
At first I read this comment and also did a double-take on the price, but then I went to Ford configurator and configured the same kind of premium as back in the day and it's better. Seems like they have removed items by default from the premium package like the glass roof. Once I add back in all the items I got standard with mine, then it's pretty much exactly the same minus the $7500 tax credit.

Anyway, just throwing it out there - today's "premium" is not yesterdays "premium" ;)

Before looking at and getting a Mach-E I certainly would have entertained the idea of an EV Mustang, but the more I thought about it the more I realized it is a bad idea. At least for a long time.

Look at what is happening with the Dodge Charger EV.

Buying my 21 select for only 24k feels really good now.

Dave Ramsey might be proud.

Problem with that car is the frunk is not only small, but OPTIONAL!!!

Half joke aside, it would have been a real killer if they put their all into it like Lucid, or even Plaid… instead they did a halfway job, threw in a boatload of gimmicks and charged way above any reasonable price.

A real shame, tbh, as it’s otherwise a very attractive car…

When you talk about full commitment, I don't see any legacy automakers that would do that. At least not for the first-generation cars. But I think that is key to what I was pointing out about the Dodge Charger and the possibility of a Mustang EV.

The only way I can see that it would have done anything other than take a tiny bit of market share from the ICE Mustang is if they killed off the ICE Mustang.

As long as the is an ICE version most of the people at least in the US would pick it instead of the EV version.

And for the record I think Ford made the right call on not making an EV Mustang. If they did and left the ICE version they would have got the same results the Dodge Charger did. If they killed off the ICE Mustang they would have lost tons of sales. The US market is just not ready for it.
