Yes. Ford promised the parts would be made available once the shortage ended but never provided info or pricing. @Ford Motor Company
Ah... I try my best, but unfortunately it doesn't work for MY22. Which production date of yours MME ?

From 11/4/2022 to 4/11/2022 made cars NO chip. Better to get a IPMA with this chip inside (better than welding it). Getting one from a car scrapyard is the best option.

One installed, FDRS PMI. SW updates required and finally ForScan modifications.

!!Solved!!, thank God:

I fixed DTC B1578:78 by running ALL the camera alignments (4 IPMA calibrations). Not just the 360-degree camera alignment (my car has 360-degree cameras), but all of them, especially the trailer alignment (that was the one I was missing). Even if the car isn't towing a trailer, the alignment must be performed, and during the process, you must not exceed 8 km/h or 5 mph (this is important, otherwise the process will stop). TSB 25-2398 is confusing.

Thanks to everyone for your help.

Hello, how do you select the rear camera during calibration, the rear camera, and trailer backup? One of the steps, "select rear camera on screen", when I touch the camera button on the display, only the 360 view is available, and I can't select rear view, only front... those calibrations are terrible, slow driving, good marks on the road, clear day, and it's so sloooooow

Good afternoon, Dynamo:

You need to perform both procedures: the one for the reversing camera and the one for the trailer camera. Both procedures are the same.

Follow the instructions. First, it performs a check and tells you to turn on the rear camera. Then, it tells you to drive in an area with solid white lines, without exceeding 5 mph or 8 km/h. The camera won't appear at this point because you're already moving forward.

In my case, I followed the process, and in the end, it said "procedure successful." It took about 5 minutes to appear, and the blue bar reached 54%. This applies to both cases. If you exceed the speed limit, it will give you an error.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards

The point was that forscan says, select the rear camera on the screen, but it is impossible to select it, because I have a 360 camera and when I touch the camera icon on the screen, the 360 mode opens, that is, I cannot open the rear camera separately from the screen.
Or you turn on rear camera putting vehicle into Reverse gear?

Don't worry. My car also has 360 cameras, and I did it this way. You press the camera button on the center screen, and a 360 view will appear. Then follow the process. The camera view will disappear when you move forward. And remember to do the same procedure for the rear camera and the trailer camera.

As long as the horizontal blue bar progresses, the procedure is working correctly, although it takes several minutes.

Cheers

Another important aspect is that you have your modules updated, especially IPMA. The TSB recommends updating IPMA first (if software is available) and then the calibrations.

If you update with FDRS (which is what you should do since ForScan doesn't have all the necessary features), it will most likely modify the AB codes, and you'll have to re-enter them.

But I think that if you perform the calibrations, the DTC B1578:78 should disappear.

It's a fun party trick, for scaring your friends, yourself, and anyone else that watches the car try to back into everything around it
This reminds me of when Lyndon Johnson would pretend his breaks were out and drive into a pond to scare his friends (the car was amphibious obviously)

Couple things.

I sent an IPMA out to have the chip added and it was installed and has worked great for about 2 years now. So if you find someone that is capable of adding the chip it will work.. It is a better option over replacing the IPMA and going through all the recalibrations.

The main point for me was having the side sensors working. They are nice to have working since they are there.

APA is cool but not that great to use real world.

last if you have a 1578 DTC in the IPMA.. And are happy with the quality of the stitching of the 360 cameras..

write and 8 here in the IPMA and it will ford the IPMA to clear the 1578 DTC. This is much easier than going through the 36o cam calibration process. That is a pain and run the risk of making it worse.

Edit. TO quickly test if you have the LIN chip or not, enable the sensors in the IPMA

If you dont have a DTC like this

Bus Signal / Message Failure

Than you are good to go

Unfortunately doesn't work for me...
Writed ok, reset dtc - still present issue, go to IPMA as buit - old value in - 0, when I set 8...

@Dynamo , I assume from looking at the pictures that there was/were cooling elements on the PCB. Do you have a picture of what that looks like? And where is the IPMA module located?
Thanks.
