Update...
The Norm Reeves Auto Group has agreed to pick up the car at their expense and give me a full refund.
If you can see past the poorly repaired hail damage, this car is everything you want in a loaded eruption green '25 MME GT. Currently has a bit over 900 miles on it.
Unfortunately, I had a flawless car in mind when I bought it with 161 miles on the odometer statement and the undisclosed damage ruined this car for me.

If interested in acquiring it, contact Norm Reeves Genesis of Irving TX. Here’s the link to their new listing for it @ only $39k!

Ford Mustang Mach-E RESOLVED: Undisclosed paint issues on a (barely) used 2025 GT AWD 3FMTK4SX4SMA15346_windowSticker

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So...I bought a used fully loaded '25 GT AWD with 161 miles on it for ~$41k from an out of state Genesis dealership and paid to have it transported to NC.
(It's replacement for my totalled '23 GT AWD (see that story in another thread).)

There were many annoying issues about the sales and delivery process but most concerning was that, upon inspection when it arrived, there were several spots in the paint that are likely poorly repaired hail damage. I've included photos below. They show the points of repair but there's also significant orange peel and rippling in the metallic layer surrounding these spots.

The dealer sent me many photos and videos of this car before bought it but never disclosed ANY defects in the paint. I signed the "Purchased As-Is" form in the sales paperwork before delivery. 🤬

The discussion is ongoing with the dealer about all of the other issues, but they have ignored my requests specific to the paint defects. Their recent google reviews slamming their customer service don't give me much hope. If they don't make good on this I'll hammer their google profile with a nasty 1 star review and contest the $5k I put down on the car with my CITI
card.

Anyone have a suggestion?

You got a pretty much brand new MME GT for $41K, the MSRP is probably around $60K. There is a reason for that price discount. And used cars are sold as-is cosmetically. If it bothers you that much, just use the money saved to get it repaired again. I would just move on and enjoy the car.

Yep, that's what I plan to do if the discussion with the dealership is unfruitful.

when you posted in the other thread about getting a "used" 2025 GT with 161 miles on it for $41K, I immediately thought hail damage. No reason for a current model year with basically no miles on it to be sold used unless it has had some sort of damage.

Yeah, me too. The dealer sales team spent so much time showing me pictures and video walkarounds I thought I was safe. If they don't make it right, I'll fix it locally for a grand or two. Still a good deal.

I'd wait until it's in the booth for something else before I sent it for just that. Maybe wait for your first good door ding?
I made a scratch the day after I purchased. Then found a repaired spot 4 months in. 7 months later, it does not bother me any more. I'm glad I didn't spend the coin to get either spot "fixed".
Just drive it and enjoy your smokin' deal! I want that set of wheels SO BAD.

Hopefully the dealership doesn’t read this forum…

But I agree with the others (and you too), you got a steal of a deal and a few cosmetic issues don’t detract from that. I presume it will be the last time you buy a used car without personally inspecting it, but what you’re dealing with doesn’t take away from the great deal you got. (That said, I think I would likely be as bothered by the poorly repaired damage as you are…)

I hope they do. Then they will realize I'm serious. Then again, from their google reviews, they might not care.

Sadly, I could have had a good friend who live 5 miles away go over and eyeball it. Didn't think of it. :crying: And, also yes - I was hoping for that perfect new car experience. Might have been an unreasonable expectation. I can't unsee those defects now.
Maybe in time - I liked another reply's suggestion of taking a pause and see if it stops bothering me in a few days/weeks.

,
Wow, I was trying to buy it as well but you beat me to it. Had a hail totaled 2021 replacing. Sorry to hear but as noted a hell of a deal. I ended up getting one out of Minnesota with similar miles in glacier gray and a few $k more. Luckily no issues with mine.

BTW, here's the 3 vids the dealer made of the car b4 I committed. No mention at all of the paint issues. And, now that I'm watching with a different intent, I noticed her closeups stayed away from the defects. Hmmmm....

Unless you are looking for them you can't see them from 5' away, so there's that. 🤷
