VIDEO: Behind the Design of the Mustang Mach-E California Special

Hi Mustang Mach-E owners,

A while back some of y'all asked for more of a peek behind the curtain when it comes to the Mustang Mach-E. We were able to get our hands on a video that features Kristen Keenan, a color and materials designer at Ford, providing a background on the design choices made for the California Special.

The goal was to create something new for today’s Mustang Mach-E while respecting Mustang heritage. The team aimed to tell the story of California Special from a more modern perspective, particularly through color and materials.

Beautiful! I love the colors and it’s a great promotion for California with those beautiful blue waves! Quite a contrast to where I am in New York State, with temperatures at 2F and an expecting snow fall starting soon with anywhere from 12 to 32 inches of accumulation predicted. My very dirty Shadow black Premium Mach E with new snow tires is parked in my 38F attached unheated garage plugged in to level 2 charging. Too late to escape but we’re ready !
