I am trying to work out whether the Mach e I have preordered (ER RWD) will fit in my garage. I have seen somewhere that the width is given as 1881mm. Does anyone know whether this includes the mirrors or not. It makes a difference. I will have to enlarge the entrance to my garage if the measurement doesn't include mirrors

And another interesting item I have found out. In a lot of the reviews on YouTube and the like, a lot is said about how you can use your phone as a key. Apparently this feature is NOT available on rhd models. Seems strange as I would assume that it was a software item which shouldn't matter what side the steering wheel is. UK loses out again

Whaaat? That makes no sense. (Apart from, maybe, having to adhere to different security regulations this side of the pond.)

I take your word for it, but can I ask where you heard this?

This is what Ford had said back in November according to one article:
"And in the future you'll be able to use your phone as a key (this will be delayed in the UK due to various regulation, Ford says, but will arrive later). "
I haven't heard more recently if this has changed and won't be available at all.

I cant remember where I saw it or read about it but another post on this thread confirmed my suspicions

Thanks for that. Glad I didn't imagine it

I think I read that it will have automatically retracting side mirrors. I wonder if there's a button to open/close them while the vehicle is on (rather than just automatically staying open when on)? That might help when pulling in/out of narrow garage door openings.

I have power folding mirrors on my current Kuga. These have a button that you can fold/unfold anytime

I know that the SR RWD does NOT come with folding mirrors. ER and AWD models do.

SR RWD doesn't come with anything really. I first reserved this version but after seeing the production model that was going round dealers earlier this month and talking to the team about it I realized that I wasn't getting the specs that I thought I would get. SR AWD doesnt come with a lot either. The only versions to get the Tech packs are the ER versions, unless this changes, so I changed my reservation to a ER RWD

Don't you mean Select vs Premium? Unless I'm misreading it, I don't think the battery size or the wheel-drive makes hardly any difference in the features (except for a couple of direct items like max charge rate).

People can get a Premium SR RWD with all the Premium features.

UK and Europe have different options than the US. I actually prefer the way their options are set up.

Ah, thanks. Didn't realize that. That would be a bummer to not be able to get the Premium package in the SR RWD.

I'm getting Premium SR AWD, but if I lived in a climate without any snow/ice, I'd want the SR RWD. And Premium package. (I've decided the ER battery just isn't worth +$5000 for my needs, as it still doesn't add enough extra range at high speeds to use on road trips. But AWD is worth the +$2700 to me.)
