Drove from the foothills (Granite Falls) to Durham NC today to pick up my Grabber Blue First Edition!! Couldn't be more excited. Big shout out to the Forum, it helped influence a lot of the moves I made (I had a GT on reserve) and has been very informative.

Thank you. My wife and I fought hard about it. It was the only color I wanted and she hated it. But I get it, she is a grown adult LOL.
I looked for blue for a little while. My wife wasn’t a fan either, but she already had her red one, so I didn’t really care what she thought. I found two blues, but both dealers wanted $5K ADM on top of the extra 4K for first edition. Since I knew I could find a premium AWD ER for MSRP, paying a full 9K extra just for blue didn’t quite pass the sniff test. May still wrap my black MME in grabber Orange some day.

This one kept popping up in my searches (about 3 hours away) and I kept coming back to it. I think they were $4K ADM. I'm with you, I told them, I only care about the color, don't really care about the badging etc. I'll pay $4K over for the FE but I'm not paying $8K. They came back with $2K ADM. And then finally with the, "If you buy it this weekend" . . . they took the $2k off. The funny part (to me) is that the only reason I wanted it was because of the color and while I was filling out the paperwork, etc., I asked the salesperson, how come they still had it? They had it in the showroom for about a month but wouldn't let anyone test drive it. He said it was because of the color, "most people didn't want that color". Which again, I get it is not for everyone. But I am stoked!!

It's a distinctive color; for some reason a lot of people want cars with bland paint jobs. It worked in your favor, so you can enjoy it even more.

I tried to buy that one as well, but they didn’t want to sell it to me...haha

I ended up with another one, picking it up tomorrow if all goes well. We’ll be twins on different ends of the state (I’m near OBX)!
