I called a buddy about my Mach E order (can't say purchase for a while) and he did a napkin calculation saying the country would need millions of superchargers on roads because of the long time it takes to charge vs filling up with gasoline, blah blah....
Then I reminded him that the vast majority of drivers will charge at home.
......Oh.
I've had a few similar conversations. It's going to be a while to change our collective thinking.
I found this years ago:
When people bought cars and sold their horses, we adapted.
When central heat replaced coal, we adapted.
When the phone replaced the telegraph, we adapted.
When phones got dials, we adapted.
When phones got buttons, we adapted.
When stoves no longer needed chopped wood, we adapted.
When A/C became possible in homes, we adapted.
When cars needed interstate highways, we adapted.
When computers became cheap and plentiful, we adapted.
When phones went in our pockets, we adapted.
When TV moved from rabbit ears to satellite, we adapted
When steamships were replaced by jetliners, we adapted.
Except for Windows 3.1*, what advance in technology had left us lost and confused, wishing to go backwards?
