I got several emails for oil change reminders for my Bolt. I think their systems just aren't set up for EV-specific details

I went with my brother to buy a Bolt in January. The sales man was trying to sweeten the deal by mentioning that we'd get a few free oil changes with the purchase. I thought he was joking for a minute but realized he wasn't. So I asked him what they offer for a car that doesn't need oil changes and he just froze and went to talk to the manager. Apparently I was the first person to actually ask that question to them and they had never even thought about it.

All they could come up with was lifetime access to their small charging unit at the dealership, which I assume any Chevy dealer would let you use if you asked and they have one.

Hey if they are offering lifetime on an ICE engine, I am in. Sadly no such thing, so my guess it's a marketing ploy to get customers to ask about it.

A lot of dealerships around me offer something like this. Some offer free oil changes for life. Some offer engines for life.

It's all only valid at that dealer. Non-transferable. And it wouldn't surprise me if they could just end it at any time they wanted.

Mostly marketing to get people to buy from them without just offering the best prices.
