    Hands-Free Bluecruise is so inconsistent

Same happens to me, regardless of the time of day or the weather. Half of the time on my way to work or my way home, it will activate, half the time it won't. It is consistent in its inconsistency for sure. I actually learned to enjoy the Hands Free part enough when it actually engages to...

Disable reverse / backup dump truck beeping sound using 'free' PACM method / FORScan

The MME backup sound is a whisper compared to the one on my wife's Kia Niro EV. She may as well roll down her window and yell at the top of her lungs, "HEY! EVERYONE! GOOD MORNING, I'M HEADING TO WORK NOW! BYE!!!!" It is seriously as loud as one you'd hear on a dump truck, and I don't know why...

    SecurAlert - is it gone?

SecurAlert has never been useful to me because there's such a delay in getting the alerts (for me at least). I'll be in the grocery store for 5 minutes, get an alert that my door has been opened, and panic for a second before I realize that was me getting out of the car. I can't imagine paying...

BlueCruise Map Update: Possible Solution That Worked! (Procedure Per Ford Support)

When you guys say "Hands free works" do you mean it consistently works? I am still trying to figure out why mine only works part of the time. My route to work and back, half the time I'll get the BCHF notification, half the time I won't. Yesterday, I got the notification just as I got on the...

    Tesla Slashes Prices

Oh I am sure it's not awful and that it is a refined experience, but I just simply prefer the free and excellent Android Auto and its tight integration with my phone over anything Tesla would ask me to pay for. I've unfortunately got some audio issues with wireless AA that disappeared last year...

    Tesla Slashes Prices

No Android Auto is a deal-killer for me to even consider a Tesla, regardless of price. It's free and the one thing I use most -- paying a subscription fee to get all the navigation features, that's for suckers.

    Tesla Slashes Prices

I also wouldn't buy another MME. That doesn't mean I don't like my car, I just think other, newer EVs are evolving faster than Ford's are, and for what I paid (most I've ever paid for a car by far), I expected more I guess. It does look the best out of all EVs though, but also I don't think I'd...

How long is BlueCruise supposed to be free for MY2021?

It's supposed to be a free year? BC on my 2021 was only activated less than two months ago, but the expiration says "14-03-2023". Guess I got hosed.

BlueCruise Map Update: Possible Solution That Worked! (Procedure Per Ford Support)

Is it a map issue when BC only engages maybe half the time on the same stretch of highway? My BC works maybe half the time (no rhyme or reason, on the same stretch of highway it'll pop up, then won't the next time I'm on it), which is frustrating to say the least. But it did work with a friend...

Still waiting for Blue Cruise OTA update

Mine activates about 50% of the time (my commute on the highway is a BC route). It's a neat experience when it actually does activate, but not something I would rely on, much less pay for, since I can never know if it's actually going to work when it should.

BlueCruise Hands Free stopped working today.

I finally got the complete update a few weeks ago. BC worked twice so far, maybe 2 out of 10 trips on the same freeway. It was kind of neat (though it did make me pee a little on a sharp curve), but with the need to keep your hands on the wheel, unless I'm missing something, I don't really see...

Choppy audio from wireless android auto

It may seem like a small issue to some, but I listen to music with every drive, and every audio cutout just pisses me off until I just want to turn the radio off and drive in silence. Ford fixed it last year, probably inadvertently if they claim it's not an issue, so it can be fixed again.

Sync 4A Update Overview from Ford - Larger Apple CarPlay Android Auto interface, added dial functionality & more

It's actually a returning issue -- this was happening to me last year. I just started using wired 100% of the time as a result, and when I got a new phone around November 2021, I tried wireless again and the cutouts were gone ... until last week after my car got a series of OTAs. Now it's back :(

    Wired Apple CarPlay choppy

EDIT: Sorry, I thought this said Wireless Carplay was choppy. Though as it turns out, my wired Android Auto also cuts out for a second every few minutes, so the whole thing is hosed now :( Thanks for the tips, but not sure those apply to my situation. My phone stays in my pocket, and Wireless...

    Wired Apple CarPlay choppy

For me it happens with YouTube Music and Sirius, the only two apps I use for streaming in the car. I don't think it's an app issue.

    Wired Apple CarPlay choppy

As I posted in another thread, it's happening with me too, except with Wireless Android Auto. Happened last year, went away around October/November 2021, and now it's back after I got a bunch of OTA's over the past couple of weeks. Audio will cut out for split-second every minute or so. Using it...

Choppy audio from wireless android auto

It started happening again with me too. It was an issue when I first got the car back in May of last year. Then I switched from a Galaxy Z Fold2 to a Pixel 6, and either by coincidence or software update, the problem went away (I had been using wired AA with the Samsung, gave up on wireless, so...

Ford gives dealers 2 months to accept new rules or stop selling EVs.

Yeah, it can be a lifesaver -- I was transporting my new Bolt from Nashville to Memphis, and the Nissan dealership in between that had an L2 charger really saved my bacon when I knew I'd need 20-30 additional miles to make it home (I think I made it home with about 20 miles to spare!). I sat...

    MME keeps tripping breaker

It was installed last August. A dedicated 240v 50 amp circuit was installed, as well as a new breaker for the charger (I am not sure the size of the breaker). It is a plug-in model. I guess I can call the electrician and see what he says, and dial down the amps in the Wallbox app until then.

    MME keeps tripping breaker

Starting about 2 months ago, my MME seems to trip the breaker for my charger seemingly every time I try to charge. I have to go outside and flip the breaker switch to get it to start charging again. My wife's Kia Niro EV charges without issue, so I am feeling confident the issue is with the MME...
