Got the attached notifications in my app. When I checked sync status in the carV it showed updated maps.

So my map and bc updated to new expiration dates, but BC still isnā€™t working. I drove 5 hours on highways it has worked on in my old MME and nothing.
Pull fuse#21 (wait 10 min and put back in) in the fuse box located under the glove box. I had the same issue and this worked to get the hands free to work.

This worked for me!
To recap, I followed the steps outlined by the OP in the first post. My maps updated.
When the maps updated there was no indication or visible download, I just checked the screen that shows the version and it was updated.
After doing this I still couldnt get hands free to engage, I drove about 200 miles.
I pulled fuse 21 as stated in the post above for 10 minutes. I replaced the fuse and hit the road and hands-free worked as soon as I hit the freeway!
I am driving a 2023 California RT 1 edition.
Hopefully this helps someone!

Brought my MME to my dealer last week to rotate the tires (~10,000 miles) and push any outstanding updates.

Pause: don't you all half expect some dealer horror story to follow that opener? šŸ˜‚ Fortunately it was a completely uneventful experience.

Anyway, they rotated the tires ($19.95, used Ford Pass points) and pushed mapping and HVAC updates. Have yet to use BC since the update though.

What screen shows the version again? I can't find this info anywhere...

So, I have called Ford BEV support three times this week.
Background:
Picked up car (bought ordered car) on 12/17/2022. I had asked the dealer to run all software, firmware, module updates before I picked it up. When I sat in it at the dealer, the large main screen said "Update Complete" so I assumed they did as I asked.
Driving home, and since then, BlueCruise "works" but not in hands free mode.
January 4, 2023 I received a notice that I received a Power-Up and I'm now on 3.5.2.... What? 3.5.2 was released back in September.
I check my map expiration date and saw that my Bluecruise maps expired on December 10, 2022.... before I picked up the car.

Anyway, back to Ford BEV support.
Yesterday they told me that they could see that my car was downloading 3.5.3.
Today, no 3.5.3. I called Ford BEV support and they saw that the 3.5.3 install failed. No reason in their system. So, I do the recommended pre-requisites for successful updates (Drive or leave car on 30 minutes, make sure it has WiFi signal, Park it, Turn on Parking Brake). We'll see on that.

On to the BlueCruise map update.
First, they advised that at least version 3.5.2 is required to enable the system to properly check for map updates.
Next.... This is the silliness.
They said that they had luck doing the following:
1. Get in the car.
2. Turn on the car.
3. Turn off the car.
4. Open the door.
5. Lock the doors using the lock button on the door
6. Close the door.
7. Walk away (get keys or phone for PAAK) out of range of the car
8. Wait for the parking and interior lights to turn off
9. Repeat 10 times

Here's the crazier part.
It worked.
My BlueCruise Maps expiration is now March 14, 2023.

I have not driven it yet to try out Hands-Free BlueCruise, but will report when I do.
Where do you check in map expiration date ?

The updates are finally starting to roll in. Got 3.5.2 yesterday and 3.5.3 today. The maps updated yesterday and Blue Cruise now works hands free. I don't quite trust it 100% yet, but it's pretty sweet.

Same here. Like you, I have a '22 GT.

According to a forum poster who purportedly ran into a Ford engineer at a charging station back in (early? 2021), Ford likes to batch updates by car model (and sub-models with like component parts as some components can change even within a build year).

So, I wonder if many '22 GTs are getting these updates all at the same time. Hopefully the updates keep coming...

I finally had the chance to test BlueCruise Hands Free.
It does work! I had read that it likes to linger a bit further to the right side of the lane than most people like. This is consistent with the lane keep assist that likes to keep me further to the right in the lane than I'm used to. ...But I only have 34 years of driving experience. What do I know. LOL.

That wasn't meant as a criticism as much as an observation.
I may be remembering wring, but I thought that an update came out, last year, that adjusted lane positioning. I don't know if I'm remembering that correctly and, consequently, if it does exist, I have no idea if the software/firmware that I have includes it.

After an install failure late last week, I did get 3.5.3. That's 3.5.2 last week and 3.5.3 last night. If I get 3.5.3.3 soon, I'll graduate from the September 2022 releases to October 2022 with the next update!!

So with my brand new 23 I had the same issues. Got the date to update with the 10 times in and out (looked like a psychopath in my garage at work). Still was not able to get the HF bluecruise to engage. Did the 21 fuse pull last night and had handsfree my whole commute in. The raindance does work for all you 2023 new owners.

Is it a map issue when BC only engages maybe half the time on the same stretch of highway?

My BC works maybe half the time (no rhyme or reason, on the same stretch of highway it'll pop up, then won't the next time I'm on it), which is frustrating to say the least. But it did work with a friend in the car who didn't know it had that capability, and he was freaking out the entire time, firmly gripping the "Oh Shit Handle" because he also didn't trust it :)

My local Ford dealership is having a blood drive today. Maybe I will do a trade with them. My blood for Blues Cruise? Own my MME for just under 2 years and only have 2.7.4 install on Dec 14, 2022.

I just wish someone would share how they know which version you have...

I just wish I could figure out if I have 3.5.3, 3.5.2, or something else... Can someone please enlighten me before I do the 10 times on off game.

My last hope so far is to pull the fuse, I looked at them briefly, looks like I have one thatā€™s in 21/22 slot, Iā€™m assuming thatā€™s the one I need to pull?
