Yah, no kidding - would be great if Chevy sticks with their original EV WT at $39K from last year's announcement.

Somehow I think it will be more expensive when it rolls out this year.

We should see when the first fleet / commercial EV WT roll off in spring of '23 and then later this fall for the consumer / retail EV WT.

I am willing to bet they will be but they really have the upper hand here. Now that are cooling down they can undercut Ford's inflated pricing and steal quite a few customers.

Dont get me wrong, I still like Ford but the bs we had to deal with on this MachE and the way they're pricing their popular vehicles right now, I really want Chevy to rub their faces in some poop right now to bring them back to reality.

I thought it would be awful but Tesla's UI is better. The subscription piece is dumb, I agree but even still. it's $120 a year. Non issue.

Oh I am sure it's not awful and that it is a refined experience, but I just simply prefer the free and excellent Android Auto and its tight integration with my phone over anything Tesla would ask me to pay for. I've unfortunately got some audio issues with wireless AA that disappeared last year but returned with my latest set of Ford updates, but considering those issues don't occur in my wife's car with my phone, gonna blame Ford for that and not Google.

Below is an example of how VW is passing along the $7500 tax credit direct to the consumer via lease incentive, bypassing other restrictions (income, MSRP, etc) for new car purchases. A consumer that leases can then buy it out to instantly capture the savings. This is one option Ford has to compete with Tesla if they choose.

And don't forget the Blazer will be coming out this year and the pricing they have released so far undercuts Ford as well.

First minute reservation holder for the Chevy EV WT but I don't think the starting base price will be $39K - that price point was set in 2022 when it launched.

By 2024, I would guess it would be a lot more.

We'll see if I get invited to order the EV WT this spring as the GM reps said consumers can start ordering after the fleet / commercial sales starts.

Not defending Elon, do what you like with your money. However, in my opinion, Tesla is the best car at the best price. With these price cuts, they are passing on savings from increased efficiency to the customer. Would you rather save some money for a great car or give it to your local Ford dealership who will do whatever they can to empty your wallet? I think Ford did a great job with the Mach E. But I think Tesla blows them away with software and lower price.

I guess I'm gonna have to go drive a Tesla one of these days so I can experience this life-changing software I keep hearing so much about.
I'll have to hope their nav is awesome, since I won't be able to use AA or Carplay. Seems like Autopilot or "FSD" (tongue firmly in cheek) leaves much to be desired since I would have to keep my hands on the wheel all of the time.
My MME hasn't had many of the bugs that have been reported here on the forum. Maybe that's why I can't envision a Tesla being that much better. ?‍

We know Ford reads these. My dealer told me the good salesmen read these religiously. I hope what we are saying makes it’s way up.

I‘m a recently-heavy Tesla poster not because I’m really into Tesla, but because I’ve literally been driven into their arms by Ford’s choices. Ford has become like that hot girl all your friends tell you is bad for you but you’re just smitten. I hate waking up because I loved the way that car felt, but this slightly less hot alternative has done nothing but treat me well in all dealings with them.

These Tesla posts aren’t about Tesla. They’re about Ford failures. Tesla is just the grindstone, the point of reference for what is possible.
