I don't think Ford would have given you an original ETA until the car was actually completed. Since my car is supposed to be built this week, I am really hoping the chip shortage theory isn't true. However, my window sticker showed up on 5/29, and I still don't have a production date in the tracker.

And apparently your crystal ball gives you perfect insight into exactly what happens in every Ford plant, meeting room, and supplier conference. Clearly the acres of assembled F-150's that are waiting for some control chips are as fake as the moon landings. Ford just doesn't want to sell vehicles, so they're making all this stuff up so they don't have to.
Why do I need a crystal ball? My paid in full $60k should get me some straight info. What are they making up? They aren’t telling us shit! I’m was a loyal customer for 40 years. Now all I want is the last damn Ford I will ever own or a straight answer why I don’t have it.

My car was built in April. Last Tuesday I got an email from FoMoCo saying delivery was pushed back until June 29. Thursday it was delivered to the dealership.
For some reason the letters "ETA" are confusing and some take them as hard dates. .

E.T.A. or ETA = estimated time of arrival

Congrats and enjoy!

The order I placed in December, but cancelled, is due to arrive at Germain Ford, in Dublin, OH on 6/13 - 6/19. It’s not showing up on their website, but if anyone has an interest in a Premium 4X, Star White, Light Grey, you might want to call them.

You really paid “$60k in full” on a vehicle that isn’t parked at the dealer where you can physically touch it?? You might need a better financial planner. If you wanted to gamble your money with Ford, you would have been better off putting that $60k in F stock a month ago and it would be worth around $78k today.

Window stickers become available shortly before your car begins to be built. They’re not sn indication it’s actually built. Further the build takes about 8 days or so.

My RR Premium AWD is suppose to be built this week. Your emails are disappointing. Since Ford is monitoring the website; would it really take a large effort to include in the email or come on the forum and say "Hey guys sorry the chip shortage is delaying things". Or if that is not the reason then give us an update as to why. The communications is really poor!!!

Back in november/december the way it worked (from my admittedly flawed memory) is that the sticker was generated and a rough production week was assigned. At that time the sticker was generated about a week and a half before production started in the body shop. After the body shop the chassis sat about a week before going into final assembly. In my case they made the body just before christmas break, and then sent it to final assembly the first week in january (actually completed jan 6th). It then sat for over a week before leaving on a train Jan 15th. The car arrived in Delaware around Feb 6th, and finally got delivered to the dealer on the 15th, for me to take delivery on the 16th

My paid in full $60k
Please explain this?

ps. That Kia EV6 & Hyundai Ionic 5 (ventilated seats and closable sunroof) is due out Late 2021/January 2022. IMO Ford needs to get as Many Mach E's out of the corral as quick as possible.

while Ford has not officially made that statement, the insiders on here have several times. Your car may or may not get built on time; mine wasn't back in December. The dates they give are estimated and approximate; it's a complicated process of getting all the parts from all the different suppliers in the right place at the right time, and then putting everything together.

What day? Exactly when? I can't believe they won't give me a clear answer!

Good point Tim. Scheduled weeks are subject to change without notice. My car was scheduled for the 1/24 build week and was scheduled to the Saturday in that week. That entire week of production drug out past February 10.

The only thing that’s odd about the op’s case here imo, is that the delivery date for his car slid back by a huge amount. We’ve seen repeated slides in delivery but not my that much, this leads me to speculate there’s something besides Ford be cautious with delivery ETAs. Could be a parts supplier can’t supply the contracted parts. It could be a giant meteorite smooshed his car in the parking lot and they need to start over.

Be all that as it may, a call to the dealer for the Vehicle Visibility report should answer a lot of questions. If it’s just the usual slow delivery change, it was an overkill in the revised ETA.
