Week of 9/12 for my GTPE, like everyone else didn’t get an email but was pleasantly surprised logging in to check. Reserved early April 2021, ordered on the day orders opened, with reservation #1075xxxx.

Oh snap! Thanks for this, I have been lurking here for months but was waiting to register until I had any kind of news. No email for me either, but I'm week of 9/19 for my GT according to the website.

I had no reservation at all, but I ordered and was accepted by my dealer on 4/28 and was definitely the first GT order through my dealership.

Definitely means Ford threw the reservation schedule out the window. Time to reconsider the Lightning reservation I made.

Mine is scheduled for production and I have a VIN. Does it makes sense to accept delivery of a 2021 at the end of the model year when the 2022's will be out in December. That seems like a total depreciation hit in just 2 months.

Yeah, they did. I reserved back in November 2020, but waited until 5/3 to order because I thought my reservation would hold my spot in line. NOPE! I got scheduled for 9/19 along with people without any reservation at all. Kind of annoying.

I guess if you want your Lightning early, just order on the first day and you'll be ahead of any reservation holders who wait a few days.

Yup, later in the day I checked the web site. Order placed 4/27, accepted by dealer less than 10 minutes later. Production week 09/26/2021. At least there is movement. Encouraged but grumpy. ??

Maybe ? would help.

So what? Nothing is going to change for the 2022. I really don't understand why people are talking about it. If you want a 2022 and want to wait until probably Q2 of 2022 to finally get your car then by all means go for it. It'll be the same thing we've ordered.

So this is something I've been a little confused about. What did the reservations do? Like did they have first dibs at ordering?

Because to be actually fair, if you had a reservation and didn't order on day 1 and waited a week to put in your order, then why should you get your car before someone that ordered on day 1? That's how it should be processed, by order date.

Reservations usually only give you early access to ordering. It doesn't give you priority over other orders when you waited to purchase your car.
