There's no question that it was unintentional. No dealer is going to risk a $21k fine per vehicle.
Well, I picked it up a day before dealers were notified. So I mean at a level higher than the dealers, I.E., it wasn’t necessarily going to be held at the train yard.

Ford notified dealers of a needed seatbelt repair involving certain new Mach-E SUVs, triggering a hold on any undelivered new vehicles built from Oct. 5 to Nov. 18.
Ford spokesperson Said Deep confirmed Monday that 2,304 Mach-E vehicles are affected by the recall. Of that number, 741 are in customer hands and 1,563 are on hold by dealers, he said.
A complete Dealer Bulletin will be provided to dealers the week of January 3rd, 2022 when it is anticipated the parts ordering information and repair instructions will be available to support this compliance recall. These vehicles need a rear seatbelt anchor thread repair. If a vehicle is delivered to a buyer or lessee unrepaired, the dealer could face civil penalties of up to $21,000 per vehicle. from

If it was prior to the stop sale being issued there would be no fine.

More specifically, I know @oadesign and others have had a grueling and mysterious quality hold in their rail yard. So either 1) that’s due to another reason than this upcoming recall or 2) they missed holding mine for this upcoming recall.

You've posted this in this in at least 3 threads now. We get it.
Sorry, but the frustration level I am now experiencing, has finally hit…….
Spending a total minimum of at least $60,000 on a car, ……..never mind……

Stopped by the dealer so I could at least sit in it. They have in the showroom with a sold sign on it so hopefully it will be safe when I get it in 27 years. ?

I’m very interested in if my car is affected. While many in the 10/11 build week saw their delivery grind to a halt, mine made it to my CLT dealership by 12/8, and I completed the transaction on 12/10.

I wonder if they let some cars through that didn’t get a bad batch, or maybe I was just lucky.

It’s just my wife and I with no kids, so we’ll keep driving the car with no issues since the stop sale is rear seat related
I would be very surprised if the car is dangerous for kids with this recall. My money is it failing a test at the upper end of adult weight limits. The force from a <100 lb kid in a 20 lb booster seat likely isn’t near high enough. This is just conjecture of course.

My MME was built on November 18 and it arrived at the dealer today. I made an appointment to take delivery on Thursday.

Not sure if I should contact the dealer and ask if my VIN is affected by this recall. I'd like to at least be able to see the MME even if I can't buy it.

The problem was due to supplier's seatbelt anchor bolt malfunction, and that Ford will produce a complete repair bulletin on the parts and fix for the dealer's to implement, in first week of Jan 2022. $21K fine for each vehicle if they let it go without repair.
